Just got email that registration for GASC in Arlington opens Monday at 3pm.

And look, we can reserve tables this year for crop parties. Not sure exactly how that works since only the first page of the GASC site is working right now. But definitely something to look into.

I've had the dates for this year's convention in my calendar for months now. I'm so looking forward to going, at least for a crop or two, since I missed it last year.

Also saw the *news* about reserving a table. We didn't do that last
year & always were able to sit together! Haven't figured out we'd want to pay more to be seated like sardines (5 to a table!) Any thoughts?
Sure wish we could leave our stuff out til the next day!

Hi Robin and Marylee!

I'm definitely in this year - but because of work, for a shorter time. I'm hoping to come down on Thursday afternoon, but it may be Friday afternoon. Either way, I'm cropping Friday and Saturday for sure.

I've exchanged a couple e-mails with Denise and she's in for the whole convention, too. She'll see Leta on Easter and will find out her plans. She's sure her sister, Shelly, will be back, too, but she's on vacation right now.

I'm not going to do too many classes since my time will be shorter this year, but I thought the Keller's Creations Disney sign class looked cute. I will probably sign up for that one on Saturday.

My thought is that paying extra for the reserved table isn't really necessary. We've never had trouble saving enough table space and we've almost always been able to have fewer than 5 to a table so we can spread out.

Marylee - I'm now the proud owner of the Funtime Software program for cutting with Wishblade. Thanks for your suggestion. I haven't played with it too much, but I think I'm going to like it.

Congrats on the Funtime software. I hope to use mine more, also!

I signed up for 2 photography classes on Saturday, a princess acrylic album class on Thursday & a Piggy Tales album class on Friday .... and the crops, of course! I cropped with Anne on Thursday. She wants to see what classes y'all are signed up for before making her decision.

I agree about the reserved table, Ann. At the time I originally posted the details weren't available, though.

Right now I'm only planning on walking the show floor and a crop (or maybe 2 if I can convince DH the kids won't kill him. )

I haven't had much opportunity to check out the classes yet. Maybe I'll be able to squeeze one in somehow.

Marylee, I'd planned on checking out the GASC for a few hours last summer, but the day I arranged to go DS got sick and I had to stay home. I can't tell you how disappointed I was, especially since it was going to be my first outing after the baby was born. (She was 4 weeks old at the time. Now I'm already planning a first birthday party. ) I look forward to meeting you this summer.

I signed up for the Friday and Saturday crops (I'll add Thursday if it looks like I'll be able to come down early).

I also signed up for the All Over the Map Quick Quotes class for Saturday morning, the Latest and Greatest with Basic Grey for Friday and the Keller's Creations Disney board sign (I forget the real name) class for Saturday.

I'm looking forward to seeing fun baby pictures, Robin and really looking forward to catching up.

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone; my 16yo's recital isn't the same weekend for once but I have a niece getting married in KY so we'll be going there for the wedding.
