Sooo, are you having shortages in your area?

We have a 10 gallon limit here, and several places are completely out of gas.

Makes me worry about our trip in a week & 1/2 - we only budgeted for $4/gallon gas. :confused3

I think you will be fine. I live in Northeast Georgia 90 miles north of Atlanta...no shortages here. Both my sons live in Atlanta...no shortages there either. I paid $3.56/gallon to fill up this morning...it is a bit higher in Atlanta, but well under $4.00 for regular.

We were in Asheville, NC last weekend and noticed that gas was a bit higher than in GA...and it is always more expensive in Florida....be sure to fill up before you cross into Florida from Georgia!!

Have a fun trip!

I'll find out this afternoon when I stop at the gas station!:scared:

I have heard no such thing. I just put 12 gallons in yesterday with no problem.

Don't know about any shortages, none here in Connecticut. When we were at Universal/Disney in August, the price for gas in that area was $3.55 so I wouldn't worry about $4.00/gal. Even here in CT where it is amongst the highest in the country, we are under $4.00/gal.

When my husband *finallly* found a gas station that actually had gas today, there was a huge line & $20 limit and was $4.09. :sad2:

 live in the 'burbs, no shortages to speak of & gas has been @ lowest rate all summer for a couple of weeks $3.47 gallon

hopefully Ike won't affect oil production:wizard:

Our gas prices went from $3.74 a gallon to $3.99 :scared1: but no shortages

Up here in central NY there are no shortages that I am aware of. Gas is around $3.78 in my local area. About 40 min away there is a Hess station sellling it for $3.59...which I hit whenever I'm in the area.

That's about the same as here.

We saw gas go from $3.69 to $3.89 overnight, but no shortages or limit. For some reason there seem to be long lines...:lmao:, but no shortages that have been announced....btw...I am in southwest Indiana..:thumbsup2

No shortages here. gas went up 4 cents overnight and no limits either.

Hope you have don't have any problems on your trip and that it's a safe one.

I paid $3.59 per gallon for regular unleaded this morning. By this evening it was over $3.99 in most places. I even say it for $4.99 at one place. Governor Bob Riley declared a state of emergency to help control price gouging. I live near Birmingham, Alabama.

Gas here went from 3.84/gallon to 4.11/gallon over night and almost every gas station here is out. I dont know what I'll do. I only got a 1/4 tank and I have a dodge ram!!! EEEK!!! My Lil Sis lives in Johnson City TN and she said it went from 3.60/gallon to 4.00/gallon just today and everyone is running out!!!

MSNBC just reported a gas station in Orlando selling gas for $5.49/gal!!:scared1:

They only said it was in a busy tourist area....I have a name for those kinds of people who price gouge like that, I won't mention it here

Someone get Charlie Crist on the phone (he used to be in charge of making sure gas stations weren't price gouging during crises)

Sounds like the gas station near OIA.

We live in Asheville NC and we have stations here selling gas for over $4.75 a gallon for regular. Some places are limiting purchases to 10 gallons. They say they can not get supplies do the pipeline being shut down but evrything should be back to normal in about a week.Bad thing is when they say back to normal that usually means a price higher than it was before it went up.
