I was one of the last people to get gas at a local station today. The clerk felt that they had enough gas to last another 15 minutes.

Busy, with lines. One station in town out of gas, another ordered more gas, was told it wouldn't be delivered until late next week.


I have a gas station in the parking lot next to my office...have seen lines all day, all sales are pre-pay too.

Far north Raleigh near Wake Forest. First three gas stations I went to were out. Finally found gas at Shell for $3.49 for premium. Lines were starting to form. I imagine things will get much worse as everyone gets off work and tries to fill up.

I'm in Pittsburgh too, I paid 2.65 late last night and 7:30 this morning the same gas station raised it to 2.85...from what I hear, it is now over $3. My brother siad he couldn't find anything less than 3.10 closer to the city.


I did see a few lines yesterday in the early evening, but none last night or early today. I have heard of no shortages here.

Btw, I am not even looking at premium gas. We are parking the Cadillac and Bronco...and driving the Cougar and my DDs Neon.

Pooh&Wendy - I see you are in South Park - I'm in South Baldwin. We drove out to Neville Island for a hockey game last night and couldn't believe the change in prices between 8pm to 11pm when we came home. I used up my .50 in fuel perks at Get-Go and filled the tank.

No real lines. The station we usually go to was completely out of Regular. As a matter of fact, all of the BP Stations in our area are out of regular. I got silver for $3.19 though. Most of the stations in are area are selling regular for $3.19 I can't ait to see what I have to pay for gas tomorrow!

I live in Huntsville Alabama

There has been widespread panic today. Rumors that I have now learned are not rumors that there will be no additional gas supplied to the area for 3 to 4 weeks. South of birmingham Alabama there is no gas. Our school district that I teach has told us today that they have enough gas to last for 10 days running buses. No extracurricular sports where a bus has to be driven will take place until further notice. They are looking at going to a 3 day work week until this mess is cleared up. There are several stations in the area that are out of gas with no hopes of getting more. This afternoon I saw gas for 2.99-3.04. I haven't driven around to look those are just the stations on the way home. I hope this clears us soon. I don't want to work 12 hour days with kids. Our endurance will only last so long.

Yep, we were coming back from a soccer game (around 10:30pm) in Hampton and were shocked to see the prices rising, literally, from station to station, especially along Rt 51. (unfortunately, we just used our fuel perks last week! $2.10 per gallon off...if we only knew!!!)

It's CRAZY. My DH has been taking the 'T' into town...he didn't think he would like it...now he is excited to read the paper on the way in, LOL.

Lots of stations (including the texaco i went to yesterday) are having shortages here. the texaco only has premium unleaded now.

I paid 2.69 for regular here in Portland, OR. No lines- no shortages here. Gas prices did go slighty higher, but not by a lot.
