We recently purchased a 2013 Keystone Premier 31BHPR at a local camper show. We absolutely LOVE it, and we will be taking it for its first trip home to the Fort in March for 14 nights!!! :cool1:

My question is since it is much larger than our old trailer (31 ft.) We were wondering if anyone has any suggestions on EASY access gas stations off of I 95. Mainly in Central South Carolina and Northern Florida.

We have had problems in the past using a GPS for gas and gotten to the gas station and it wasn't possible to get in and out without a lot of hassle so we keep driving until we find one that works better. Does everyone have this problem...or is it just us??

Hopefully there is someone out there who is so organized that they might be able to help us with this!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Buy "The Next Exit". It lists every facility at each exit for major highways and RV friendly facilities are in red. It is a lifesaver.

My favorite ALL TIME I-95 book is "Drive I-95" it not only lists gas stations at every exit, but restaurants, hotels, attractions, oddities, police car hide outs, notable sights to see from the road, radio stations, etc.. it's our I-95 BIBLE! The kids LOVE following the pages & turning them as we get closer... We wouldn't do 95 without it, even WITH mobile technology. :)

Yes, we can feel your pain ;) We have a MH (sometimes tow a vehicle) and it is *very* hard to get access to some stations. We tend to stick to the truck stops as they usually have nice RV areas away from the general pumps.

We mostly stop at Flying J's (Pilots) and the main ones we stop at in SC and FL is Florence, SC and near St. Augustine, FL. There are usually lots of highway billboard signs, or we use our phone to find them. We never buy the books, as they get outdated easy and our phone apps take us right to them, along with current prices.

Have a great trip and enjoy your new trailer. We sure enjoy our RV to the fullest. Are looking forward to FW in April :woohoo: pixiedust:

Pilot and loves now have apps for your phone. I perfer pilot since I have my rewards card with pump start (starts the pump without having to run a CC.) This is great for me as I am a diesel and its always easier to goto the truck pumps, fill, pull foward and pay then to run back and forth. But even on the gas pumps, its better then having to run your CC multiple times if you have a large tank.

:thumbsup2 We have the Pilot (Flying J - same thing now) card also, and *almost* exclusively use them for our MH fuel.

It is less about the discount for me and more about the pump start.

I agree. Actually, it's more the relative ease that we can get in, fuel, then get out that means a lot to dh. The discount is minor when you're filling a gas guzzler. ;) My hubby used to get sooo ticked off when the pump would kick off, and we'd have to start all over again.

Its never been an issue, but with a DP in most locations I have to go to the truck pumps....And with 50+ gallons at a time this new setup is so much easier to work with.
