Gas prices in Italy are very high (about $4 a gallon), however, all US servicemembers are able to purchase ration coupons. We pay $35.00 for 100 liters of gas, with a maximum allotment of 400 liters of gas per month. (BTW - 100 liters is a little over 26 gallons, so I think that works out to about 75 cents a gallon??- is that right, divide 26 gallons by $35...a math wiz I am not!)
I'm a Sam's gal, too. I think the last time I purchased gas, I paid $1.35 when everyone else's was around $1.39 to $1.45. Right now gas prices are at $1.49 in Mid-Michigan.
Our gas prices have been higher also. I've been trying to fill up on mondays and tuesdays when it seems a bit cheaper here. Closer to the weekend our prices rise some.
The price jumped to $1.59 last Thursday, but I noticed that it was back down to $1.49 today. It may drop a bit more by Wednesday, but it will no doubt go back up on Thursday morning.
