Gas prices

they are here to Tigger, trying to make a budget for gas for the trip down there

Oil companies haven't made enough money yet, so my guess is that they're high everywhere. JMO

We're driving down to WDW next April and my parents are already trying to budget on how much money they're going to spend on gas. We went this past May and drove down and we spent between $300-$275 on gas and we drove a Trailblazer.

Hi happygirl,

You can look up gas prices anywhere in the U.S. on GasPriceWatch.com. I just used the Orlando zip code and it told me that Regular is $2.99 in that area.

We were at WDW for 12 days in mid-July. The Hess stations (on-site) were $2.86 then $2.83 then $2.86 and finally $2.87 when we filled up and left. So leave the station across from DTD, go out the WDW gates and BOOM... first station we see is $3. 19!!! :scared1:  :crazy2:

Yes, this was a month ago... but the point is, the prices were WAY different within a short distance. AND, contrary to many people's expectations, things aren't always more expensive ON property.

:car: Good luck and keep your eyes open!

For sharing the good info on where to get the price on gas :thumbsup2 It is going to effect many folks budget on dollars they're going to have for WDW vacation for sure.

Another great site for this is www.gasbuddy.com :thumbsup2

Don't get gas on 535. Get gas at the Hess Express stations on Disney property or when you return your rental car (if you have one), there are decent prices at some of the gas stations north of the airport on SR 436.

im glad i dont have to worry about gas, im just gonna fly there and use the buses and tram system

If we're heading down to WDW, I almost always wait until I get onto the property to get gas at the Hess stations there. They are typically the same or cheaper than what I can find where we live approx. 25 miles away. Also, as was said, it is cheaper to get gas ON Disney property than immediately outside of it on 535 or 192. The price at the Hess stations on WDW property last night (8/4/06) was $2.95/gal.
