Does anyone have an idea how much I would spend in gas from Philly to Orlando in a midsize car? (Trying to Justify a last min. trip to DH. ;) )I know some one has to have gone recently that can help me. I just have no idea w/ the recent gas prices. Thanks!

from central jersey to orlando in a mini van is about three hundred in gas accoriding to my husband. we drive alot and that seems to be about right. we top off at every stop, whether it be lunch or breakfast, etc. good luck. we stay in savanna 92 exit and spend about 50 or so at the laquinta . have fun and goooo for it.

What milage do you get? The last couple times we made the trip in our Saturns (get about 35 mpg highway) it was about $150 round trip in gas. Our house in NJ was about 40 miles North of Center City.

I'm not going to tell you all what we spend with the Prius. :flower:

Gas is in the $2.25 range, give or take. That's close enough for you to figure an estimate.

I live near Franklin Mills Mall in NE Philly so we live close to each other. It is approx 1028 miles from there to All Stars Value Resorts. I would figure out how much it cost you to fill a tank and how much mileage you can get to the gallon and how many gallons is your tank.
Of course, you will need to figure if you are going to use your car down there to ride around the property and of course the return trip.

Currently AirTran is having sales from Philly to MCO for $49 each way.
Definitely cheaper than driving. Would be about 116.00 round trip.

we are from Reading area, and just to make sure we have enough we are planning 300- 350 for gas, hoping thats too much but want to have enough money

we get 23-27 miles per gallon. i believe that price also included our hotel for the night. 300 is what my husband says is for the whole drive. as mentioned we are flying this time, a little more money but not that much more. using sw

It cost us about $200 R/T (including the gas used at WDW) from NEPA, in my Liberty, in June.

$300 one way is sooo far off unless you are driving a Hummer!

I just drove from Carver, MA, driving a full size 4x4 pickup, towing two motorcycles on an ancient trailer and got 20-22mpg. I spent around $300 round trip including my gas in and around FL.

I left full, 1st stop was the Flying J at exit 1 in south Jersey at 2.14, second stop was Roanoke Rapids at Raceway for 2.25 (note here- fill at one of the last exits in VA the price was around 2.16) 3rd stop was in GA for 2.11 and I arrived in Deltona with 1/2 a tank left.

The best price that I saw was in GA around Brunswick for 2.02 but I would not had made it but someone getting 25mpg or more would have.

There is gas in Waldboro SC for 2.11 (stopped there going home)

For those who care, BJ's in Sanford was at 2.14 for members (SR46 - exit 101C) and gas on property at the Hess was 2.25
