Mods. please allow this question here... since there is more traffic on this board than the cooking board & I need an answer today. Thanks.

I have stuffed chicken breasts that I need to cook tonight for dinner. It's going to be another 90 degree day & there's no way I'm turning on the oven.

Is it possible to cook these on the gas grill? I was thinking they should be wrapped in foil individually? How long? Temp?

Has any one tried this? Any tips?
THANKS!!!!!

Cook them over indirect heat. If your grill has multiple burners shut off one side, turn on the other. Place the birds on the side thats NOT on....keep the lid down, and an eye on the temp guage (sorry if yours doesnt have one, our kenmore does).

I do this with a lot of stuff, large cuts of meat etc. so they dont burn.

After they're just about done, I take them and toss em on the side thats actually "cooking" to grill the outsides.

Not sure how long, depends on your grill temp etc.

Well, we have done a ham and a turkey on our gas grill, in thoes aluminum pans covered with tin foil. So you should be able to do your chicken. Can't help with the temp.

mudnuri, would I place them directly on the grill...or wrap in foil?

I'd wrap em in foil. Then for the last couple minutes- pull the foil off. The stuffing should stay once the birds almost done

OK, thanks both of you.

If this temp keeps up....I think we'll be using the grill in all kinds of new ways.

All this info will come in handy I'm sure.

Basically, gotta learn how to cook like those pioneer women out on an open fire. LOL

I think I would start them in the microwave before I put them on the grill to make sure the center is cooked all the way through. Maybe about 5 mins in the microwave and then wrap in foil to finish cooking on the grill. good luck!

There is a ton of cookbooks out there for grill cooking. Heck, I've heard of people cooking PIZZA on a grill LOL.... I know my X has a few of them since thats the only place he'll cook is on the kemore grill, not the kenmore stove .... he uses the grill year round
