I know with the hurricanes, gas has been hard to come by in Miami and other hard hit areas. Does anyone know if gas is going to be hard to get around Disney?

We have reservations for FW beginning September 18th.
Don't want to get down there and not be able to get home.

Another thread stated that FW was still closed at this time. Hope Ivan doesn't throw a wrench in the works.

I've only seen one gas station in Miami that was closed. Can't answer for situation in Orlando.

Generally, from my own experience and what I have seen on local news gas is available. Just be prepared to wait in line a little longer than normal. Ivan does seem to be cutting south and central Florida a break. But as they say stay tuned.

I would just keep the tank full. (Refill often) I have heard that gas may be in short supply during the next week or so. (I think it has to do with Ivan but I am not sure.)

Just better to be safe than sorry...

Have fun and spend lots of $$ :teeth: the businesses here are hurting.

I was just at WDW last weekend and didn't see any shortage of gas. There are a few stations still closed due to damage, but those were further from WDW.

The Disney Hess stations had signs letting people know that there was gas. And I notice that the prices on site are now almost equal to offsite and much cheaper than the crossroads area now.

I live in Lake Buena Vista....Plenty of Gas. Those stations at the corners of 535 and Apopka Vineland are crooks.

I feel like calling the price gouging hot-line everytime I pass by there. :headache:

You can get all you want for about 20 cents cheaper at exit 74-A off I-4.

We are in St Louis area and gas is now $1.98
Diesel is at 2.00 :(

thanks fsufandis for the Tip!
