Gas Buddy - find this accurate?

Yup. We just drove down to Ft Myers in late August, and it was about $255 round trip in a hybrid. Good site!

Just did it for my truck that we took last year and it is damn close. 6 stops, there and back. 460 dollars.

I've used this several times this year. Worked very well for me.

I paid slightly higher than what it quoted me. I'm 21 hours away from WDW (although it took us 25 each way with stops to eat). I kept track of gas and it cost me exactly $368 r/t. I drive a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. The price of gas is a LOT cheaper in the States, plus it's highway driving so a tank is going to go farther.

Can I ask from where in Canada and which way you travelled down through the states? We are leaving from Mississauga area and travelling down I-75.
:cool1:
Thanks

I'm from London. We also went down the I75 and it was a really easy, nice drive. Actually relaxing, even with a 4- and 8-year old!

We just got back from our drive there and back again. Gas buddy estimate was pretty close to our actual costs. But you have to allow for the volatility (no pun intended) of gas prices. Up one day and down the next. And we noticed a considerable variation in price from state to state, town to town, and even station to station.

We kept a running, informal note of gas prices along I 81, I 77, and I 95 and the price varied from a low of $3.17/gal to a high of $3.55!! But even that high price is a lot cheaper than what we're paying here in Ontario.

Thanks, I agree with you that I-75 is a nice, easy drive with lots of rest areas and places to stop. Leaving on Oct. 22, 3rd trip this year to WDW and still can't wait to get going.:cool1:

We're from London as well. It's quoting me $358. We went earlier in the year and also drove over to Port Canaveral for our cruise as well as the driving in Orlando for Universal, Disney, etc. Total gas for the trip was around $400 so I'd say this site is pretty accurate. :)
