Gary Sinise Fans

I posted this on the Universal Studios board, but I don't think many people go there so I thought I'd share here too.

We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe (CityWalk Orlando) on Tuesday night and they sat Gary Sinise, his wife and 2 daughters at the booth right next to ours. I thought my MIL was going to have a heart attack, she was so excited. I had to keep telling her not to bother them. We heard the waiter ask if he'd like to be moved to a more private area, after someone came over and asked for his autograph. He said, he was fine where he was. BTW, he was wearing an Apollo 13 t-shirt. I thought he might be there doing something for the new Bubba Gump restaurant. Their family and ours were leaving at the same time and MIL couldn't help it and had to say something. Gary wasn't with them, but she said something to his wife. I wasn't there at the time, but I guess it was something about her husband making MIL's night.

I would have just liked to see him in person, unless by luck I would have had my Apollo 13 DVD in hand, and then I would have asked him to sign it.

Gary Sinise is VERY COOL! He does so much for our troops! I was at the Pentagon in the beginning of May and I had lunch with him. He put a concert on for the troops after that. Every free moment he gets - him and his band "Gary Sinise and The Lt. Dan Band" fly to Iraq or Afghanistan to perform for our troops. Here's a picture of him the day I saw him.

Gary Sinise is cool. I wish that he'd make more movies but I know that he's busy with his show.

Very cool, what was his wife like? how old were his kids?

I wasn't there when MIL talked to his wife, but she said she was very nice, even patted her on the back. I didn't realize it until today, but her name is Moira Harris and she is also an actor (Emmy award winning).

This pic is from 2000, she has blond hair now.

Their children are Sophie 18, McCanna 16, and Ella 14. The son, McCanna wasn't with them.

I've had a crush on him since he was in The Stand. On an episode of CSI: New York, there was a character who had my name (first and last). It was thrilling to hear him say it. lol.

So cool that you got to see him.

LOL, yeah, I guess this about sums it up!! He is one of my favorite actors, he's even on my "list". Every Christmas I hope DH will surprise me with a trip to Disney so I can see him at the CP.

That's really cool. I like Gary Sinise alot. He hasn't played a crummy role yet that I can think of. Well, except for that Mission Space thing. Of course of all the preshows in WDW, that's the most fun to look at.
