After finally securing our date & location:woohoo: i can now start to look at the lill things i ve not really thought of yet:thumbsup2 . Finding a garter really is one of them, its not the kinda item you really tend to see in many shops so am probably gonna have to search a round on the net to find the perfect one for me.

I was just curious to see where everyone else brought theres & see to what they looked like :cutie:

Here is my Garter. I got it from Ebay for $12.99!

Ebay has every character you could imagine on a garter...lol. For my at home reception I am getting a batman garter since my DF is a HUGEEEEE Batman fan.

Maybe I'm being thick, but why are there 2 parts to Amanda's?

Here is my garter.

One has cinderella's slipper on it and the other has the pumpkin coach.

I actually wore three garters!! Two on one leg and one on the other. It was a miracle that I still had circulation by the end of the night. My first on was white with blue ribbon...a Walmart or Michaels special I think. We actually got legally married a few months ago to get the immigration process moving and this was about the only traditional piece of that wedding, so I had to wear it again. My old UK roomie couldn't make the wedding, so she sent me a really pretty white one from Marks and Spencers (which was the one I threw). When I worked at Disney, there were four of us that became best friends. For each of our weddings, we have all had a silver Mickey charm engraved with our nicknames sewn to our garters, so I had to buy a really special one to put it on. The new hubby's fav football team is Celtic and they happened to be selling a garter on their site, so I bought that. It was a nice surprise. The boys thought that they'd be smart and all wore garters for me to remove!! :cool1: The first picture is my "old" garter and the Celtic one.

My suggestion would be to buy a cheap garter somewhere and do something to make it personalized. A lot of the garters on ebay are just a plain garter with some type of charm sewn on. Some of the Disney ones, just have Disney pins attached. Do it yourself!!
