Garmin Website

I got a new GPS and have been trying all day to get online at the Garmin site to register it and download stuff to it. But I can't get it to work.

Has anyone been able to get in and get registered?

I got a Garmin too as well as my 19yodd! No, I have not even opened it. I guess I will have to check it out. They are probably just overloaded.

I received a NOOK for Christmas. You should try to get onto the barnes and noble website. Now that takes a real Christmas miracle. Can't get anything to download and took forever to get a gift card to load.

It took me two hours to update the maps at the Garmin website last night.

Yep! Depending on the model you can get different cars and voices. If you want to pay a little you can get games.

I have had a Garmin that I think was from the first or 2nd year they came out. Big clunky thing with very few features. It has served me well but it was time for a replacement. Just to download a new set of maps since mine are hopelessly out of date was going to be more than the unit is worth. It is nice to have one that is easier to use.

I got mine on the 22nd and basically said 3 hours to download the maps....I set it up and went to bed.

I played with it more later...I now have the elf as the voice. FUN!!! Unfortunately, I don't think I care for that one too much as no street names are said but the random comments were sure funny!! Such as "I hope we visit some Gingerbread houses" just randomly after it tells you a turn is coming up.
