Just wanted to post that Lowes has a bunch of different garden kits and such for kids.
One thing that I thought was really cute was a paper cup with a picture of a veggies-ex. pumpkin. It has the soil and you just water it.

My daughter loves to garden, so I might pick some of these up for her.

For anyone on the East Coast with a Christmas Tree shop, they have the best garden gear for kids. I bought a plastic rake and shovel for .89 cents. Also a pair of little people gardening gloves for a $1.00. They also had sand/yard mini plastic tools, three per bunch for a $1.00 too! DS had the right idea and started to rake his toys up!
Now if it would just warm up again so we could go outside :rolleyes2

Just saw tonight that Target has fun gardening gear for kids in their $1 bins. Gloves, buckets, tools, sun visors! There are going to be a lot of kids working in the yards this year :sunny:

My 6 y/o DD already has her own gloves, but insists that she uses my full size shovel. :rotfl2: All 40# of her, heave-hoeing the big ol' dirty thing around has made for some good pics. :teeth:
