Last year I planted gardenias around the house. Last year they did nothing and this year the ones in the front (north side) are doing nothing yet the ones in the back ( south side) are starting to bloom. Is this normal? What should I do for the bushes in the front to help them along?

The ones in the front get more shade than the others and we are on well water, if that matters.

thanks
Patti

The north side of a house will probably not allow enough light to reach your gardenias. Transplant them to a sunnier location for blooms.

If I need to move them should I do it now or should I wait until the fall? I'd rather have no blooms than a dead plant.

You should be able to move it now, just fine. You might even get blossoms later! :teeth:
