Garden View Tea Rooms

Hi,
I have just tried to make a reservation at the tea rooms for 27th Aug, and was told there was nothing available. I then asked if there was anything during our stay, (23rd-2nd Sept) and was told nothing!!
I was just wondering if perhaps the Tea Rooms were closed? Also, if they're not, would it be worth just turning up? Last year when we booked there were only 2 other tables taken.

Many people book and don't show. You can always just show up and see if they can take you. Dh and I do this and it has usually worked fine.
