Garden View Tea Room

My wife likes going to tea rooms with her sister, and I thought I'd surprise her with a trip to the Grand Floridian when she and I go this December. But when I look this up on Disney's site, all I see is a party for little girls. Do they offer regular service too? What time is the seating? And since I've never done something like this, how long should I schedule in our plan to have a enjoyable afternoon tea? Should reservations be made?

DD22 and I just did this two days ago. Yes, they have a regular garden view tea and the hours (I believe) are between 2 and 5. Depending on what you order, it'll take about 1-1 1/2 hours. Yes, you do need reservations. Enjoy!

I just made reservations for Afternoon Tea for my family tonight. I am so excited! I think your wife will love it. My TA recommended it highly.

Thanks. Dena, I saw that page, but I was worried that it was outdated when it didn't match to anything that I saw on Disney's site.

Yes. We did the Afternoon Tea last June at the Grand Floridian. It was myself, my little girl (7 years old at the time), and my sister. We did this as part of our girls day that included Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before the tea. The tea was a very special part of our day! You do need ressies. I feel like the 'adult' tea is like a well kept secret that I wouldn't have known about without the disboards. Afternoon tea is a special thing that my mom and I have done throughout my life, but the first time I tried to look up tea on the DIsney website, I too only found the princess tea. I didn't think there was an 'adult' tea until I found the boards. Now we're booked for Nov So thanks guys

You can't book it on the Disney site, you have to call the dining line to book. My DH went on Xmas Day in 08 and we are going back again this September, we loved it!
