Hi everyone! I really want to go to the Garden View Tea Room while at Disney, but I can't seem to find anywhere, if there is some sort of dress code for this. I don't want to go in shorts, if I am supposed to be gloves and a hat, or vice versa. If anyone has been here I would greatly appreciate any info!

You will see people in park attire. You will see people a little dressed up. You do not need gloves and a hat though.

I went last year and the dress was all over the place. There were women there from the Red Hat Society that were dressed to the nines and then there were people with shorts and tee shirts. I wore a pair of slacks and a blouse and I didn't feel out of place. I think just about anything will work here. (minus of course bathing suits or halter tops.)

Funny you should mention gloves and hats...because that is our plan this year. We love to dress up, but will be coming from a park, so just for fun we will tote props. This is our 2nd time and I must say it is excellent value as far as afternoon teas go. We order 2 Buckingham and one Prince Edward for variety.

1) Acceptable dress
. . . park attire
. . . business casual
. . . full dress-up
2) BUT,
. . . it is a genteel atmosphere
. . . be nice to yourself and others and dress neatly

I do hope you mean genteel. No antisemitism at WDW. ;)
