Garden view rooms

Where are the garden view rooms at Port Orleans Riverside generally located?

When I looked into this myself last month this is all I could discover....this is a new catagory of rooms that will not be assigned until Jan. 2012, so no one really knows yet! I asked here on the DISboard and I also asked 2 separate people at 407-WDISNEY.

I will be watching your thread to see if anyone has further information.

I'm pretty sure they had the GV room category when we booked in August?

But I got a free upgrade to pool view. However I think GV room can mean a view of grassy areas, woods, etc. Basically you are guaranteed not a parking lot view.

To me, view isn't particularly important at a moderate because there isn't a balcony to enjoy it on, but I don't want to be by the parking lot, being woken up by cars coming & going early or late. So it's worth the little extra for a GV to me. I'd never pay for a water or river view.

You can't always translate room view names from one resort to another, but this time I suspect you are correct. If I remember rightly, the new breakdowns for POFQ are Standard, Garden, Pool and River, which would mean that Standard gets the parking lot views, and Garden would get anything else that can't see water. Courtyards mostly, I would guess.
