Garden view or lake view at the BC ???

Got a chance to stay at concierge at the BC. Choice between lake view or garden view. Going in Sept '05 and lake view is more expensive but is it worth it? Does anyone know if all the conceirge lake view rooms will have a good view of the lake or not?

Never stayed at the BC, but have stayed many times at YC concierge, both lake and garden view. A good lake view at YC is really wonderful. At most rooms, you can look out over SAB and across the lagoon to the Boardwalk. You can also see SWan and Dolphin rising in the distance. It really is very nice. BC would have to be similar, I would imagine, but I don't know for sure that there are no "bad" lake views.

The choice of view is actually water and not lake. Water view can be very subjective. As long as you can see any type of water from any vantage point in the room, it's considered water view. That would include overlooking one of the pools. Garden views can you have you overlooking the back parking lot of the resort. If you like to spend a lot of time sitting out on your balcony, then I would request a water view, with a full balcony, near the quiet pool. If you decided to go with a garden view, I would put in the same request. Unfortunately, the wing of the building that extends out and around the quiet pool only goes up to the 4th floor and I believe that concierge level is on the 5th floor.

Here is a good site that has a complete breakdown of the floors in the BC resort. It's a bit dated, but gives some amazing detail. BC Resort Map, just click on the link and about half way down the page, you'll see the pictures for the floors of the resort. When you open them, just move your cursor onto the picture to get the sizing tool (small square with arrows in the lower right corner of the picture). Click on the tool to enlarge the picture and you'll be able to read all the fine detail.
