garden room at the CR?!?

Welll...concierge is all spoken for at the CR over spring break. I am wondering why we are going at such a busy time. How are the garden rooms? After reading some of the recent reviews I am wondering about our choice! Are the rooms really that bad? If I am paying the Deluxe amount...I still want a decent room. Any suggestions?!?

We are staying in the Garden wing in 2 weeks. I will let you know. Last year we stayed at the POR and we decided this year to stay in a deluxe hotel. I am hoping so much that it wasn't a mistake!!!!!!!

I have always stayed in the garden wings, have never had any problem with the rooms at all. The walk is not excessive, rooms spacious. This time I sprung for a tower room, we may become spoiled though. It's DD7's birthday month so I decided to bite the bullett. Although with the AP discount we're actually paying less for the tower room than we paid for a wing room a few years back when I had to pay rack rate during the peak season in April. I think that wing room was ~350 a night I have paid as much as that and as little as $149 a night last June with a GA residents discount so there is a great flucuation in price.

Request a Garden view wing overlooking Bay Lake. Those have the best views. May be a bit more than standard Garden view, but we thought it was worth it! We were in the South wing, 3rd floor

Our family of 5 stayed in the "Garden Wing" room for 9 nights in December. It was our first and only stay at Disney (thus far), and I can say we were very pleased in almost every way. The rooms were very comfortable. I always slept very well each night (unlike any other stay away from home).

The short walk to MK was great. We had a view of bay lake and the tennis courts. And it was only $151 nightly (AP holder rate)!

Out trip in June is going to be at POR and BWV. We are so looking forward to that experience.

We loved our North Wing room facing Bay Lake last August! The room was terrific and CR was overall wonderful. Perfect? No, maybe not but we loved it. My dd, 11, is begging to stay there again. CR is going to be rehabbed soon, so that will make a difference.

I say for the price, stay somewhere else. Even if it was dirt cheap, I wouldn't stay at the CR. We thought it was an absolute dump. Awful rooms, run down common areas, and the lobby looked like a concrete prison.

I would pay extra and stay at the Poly, GF, or an Epcot area resort...I would avoid CR no matter what!

Would you pay extra for ME to stay at the Poly, GF, or YC? I'd love to stay at any of those, but they are all considerably more expensive than what am paying for a discounted CR garden wing room.
