Garden Phlox

I have had these plants for about 13 years now. I have split them up over the years and transplanted them in different gardens around my yard.

I noticed this year I have a few flowers that are now white and other one that bloomed a beautiful dark purple instead of the more normal purple color.

Does anyone know if I separate these two colors and plant them somewhere else will they keep their color?

Will they stay this color or will they go back to the normal purple color?
