Garden Grove

Has anyone done the Garden Grove character dinner & if so, what did you think of it? Also, do they take an AAA discount and which characters were there?

I've never done it but the reviews are very mixed. I know that Pete has not enjoyed his visits at GG. I've heard better remarks about the Seafood buffet. They do take AAA, characters normally are Goofy & Pluto with Chip & Dale along with them on Sunday mornings.

My family did this buffet a few years ago. I'll start with being nice - it's super low-key, not at all like the usual WDW character dinner. Sometimes the noise and chaos at Chef Mickey's just makes me angry....

But the characters costumes were a smidge dingy. And it was just Goofy and Pluto.

The food was just okay. Not as big a selection as a normal Disney buffet. Somewhat reminiscent of a mid 80s Howard Johnson holiday buffet..... On the bright side, the desserts were substantially better than the usual Disney buffets. They actually taste like something... I swear Disney desserts are more about beauty and shelf life than actually being yummy.
