First off, it’s an excellent alternative to Chef Mickey if you want to see characters. Second, if you have a membership for
AAA, there is a 20% discount on the food.
We have been to this dinner in October 2016 and September 2017. I’m not gonna lie—the seafood was much better in 2016 than 2017. The crab legs were outstanding in 2016 and far superior to the ones at Cape May Cafe the same week. In 2017, it was hard to get the meat out of them. I liked the stuffed lobster better in 2016 than 2017 too.
Each person at the table gets a half of a stuffed lobster. A bowl of deep fried seafood (calamari, shrimp, clam strips) is brought for the table to share. That was very good both visits.
The buffet has the AYCE crab legs, several dishes, a salad bar and a carving station. Also, a “mini buffet” for kids—it has little wiener corn dogs, just saying. The carving station was outstanding both times, prime rib in 2016 and strip loin in 2017. Mashed potatoes are real, and green beans are cooked from fresh. The desserts are prepared under supervision of the resort’s World Class pastry chef.
With AAA and before tax and tip, the food is about $30 per person. It is totally worth it. If your group likes craft beer, get a pitcher of Phins and Feathers, an IPA made by a local brewer exclusively for the S&D.
