We are flying in and staying in the cabins. We would love to save some money on food by having groceries in our cabin and fixing the food ourselves. Does anyone know if garden grocer delivers to your cabin, or do you have to pick it up in the main office? Does anyone have any other good ideas for getting some groceries to our cabin? How much does it cost to take a taxi to and from a grocery store? Any other thoughts??:confused3

I would definitely use Garden Grocer or wegoshop.com

Garden Grocer will deliver to Bell Services who will in turn deliver it to your cabin along with your luggage.

So I don't have to go to bell services and try to lug it to my cabin?? They'll deliver it for me??

They will deliver it directly to your cabin. We had this done October 2008. We had made pre-arrival arrangements on a time for them to bring the groceries. Then after we got to the cabin, we called to confirm that we were there and gave them our cabin number. They brought the groceries right inside.

I wasn't clear before-wegoshop is the one that will deliver directly to your cabin. We had a great experience with them.

We used Garden Grocer and had no complaints other than the prices - bell services brought the stuff right in.
This last trip to the Fort, we packed our cereal, pasta and snacks in our luggage (we needed the souvenir space on the trip home, lol) and just bought the perishables at the Meadows Trading Post. In all honesty, that was the easiest thing to do. You either pay the Disney markup, or the delivery charge. It was a wash for us.

We just got back from FW yesterday.
Garden Grocer worked great for us.
When we arrived in our cabin, the groceries were all there, with the frozen veggies in the freezer and the milk in the fridge.
Our order was complete, and even the fruit was ripe.

The only problem was that I didn't order enough. I had to stop at the Trading Post a couple of times for more water, milk, and cold cuts.

Thumbs up.:thumbsup2

Diane:

I'm getting ready to make arrangements to do this for the first time and am going crazy with... I don't know, nerves, I guess! (God forbid I don't feed my extended family! LOL)

Did you have the food delivered on your arrival day or the second day to make sure you were in? Did you have to be at the cabin for the food to be delivered? How far in advance did you order?

Um, I guess what I'm saying is... walk me through it like I'm a six year old! LOL

I REALLY appreciate y'all's help, as always!
