Garden Grocer returned our fee!

Because of Magic Express, as well as having 3 little ones with us, we wanted to try a grocery delivery in August, and we chose Garden Grocer. We had a very very late delivery of groceries. We got them at 9PM and had ordered them for 3PM with various promises given and broken during our waiting time.

I sent an e-mail and didn't hear, and finally 2 weeks after the experience I wrote a letter, and again I didn't hear anything.

However, this morning DH was checking our credit card statement on line and said that we had a credit from Garden Grocer. I will send a card, but I wanted to acknowledge the credit here as well.

Really, having groceries delivered is a wonderful service for longer stays expecially with young ones. I didn't like the feeling of just being ignored, and feel that having the delivery charge returned makes it probable that we will use Garden Grocer again, with a better outcome.

That's great! I like to hear about companies trying to make things right. Hopefully your experience next time will be a good one.

I'm glad you got a response but it's too bad they(he) didn't do the more important step of contacting you to apologize for the service and assure it wouldn't happen again.
 
I'm afraid the refund is a result of all the negative postings on this board. From what I read it is still very doubtful I will ever use their service.Just MHO.

We used them in August and the service was excellent.

I think their business has grown much more than they had ever expected. With that was a few unexpected bmups in the road for them.

They seemed like nice guys and were trying very hard. I hope they continue to do well, and we'll continue to patronize them.
 
I Wouldve Also Liked A Little Personal Contact From Them Rather Than Just A Refund But They Did Try To Make It Right So You Are Correct I Would Use Them Again In The Future

I agree here. There response to the other post was basically a "poor us" attitude IMHO. YMMV.

Hopefully we will be hearing better stories about them in the future.

I am going to try wegoshop here in December and will respond.
 
We used garden grocer a week ago at SSR. We had requested a delivery time between 3-5pm. The groceries arrived around 6pm. I went through the entire order and they had a few extra items in the order, that I never ordered. They gave those items to me free of charge. The order was correct otherwise and came in very good condition as far as frozen items were frozen solid, bread was very fresh, donuts very fresh and milk cold. They did a very nice job I thought and will continue to use them in the future. :thumbsup2
 
We had GG deliver groceries to us on 10/21. We called as soon as we got to our room. Groceries were delivered within 30 minutes. They had forgotten our cold items but Adam called Brian and they were delivered to bell services while we were at dinner at Yacht Club Galley. We really liked the convenience of not having to go to the grocery store while on vacation and GG was great!!!!! We will definitely use them again!
