Garden Grocer questions

We have never used Garden Grocer or similar services before, but we are considering using this type of service for our WLV trip in December since our daughter will be 11 months old and we do not want to pack baby food in our checked luggage. If you have used Garden Grocer, were you pleased? Would you use them again? Do they have additional selections that are not listed on their web site? For example, we use Earth's Best baby food and they do not have many vegetable choices online. Would it be possible to order a personalized birthday cake from them? We are taking both sets of grandparents because the trip is an almost 1 birthday trip for our daughter!

We used Garden Grocer for the 1st time last March for a stay at Port Orleans. I would definitely recommend them! I ordered everything online and they delivered right to the hotel. I just stopped at bell services to tell them to deliver the items to our room once we checked in. We flew down so it was nice not needing to pack baby food, diapers, formula etc. I plan to use them again for our 1st visit home!

We used Garden Grocers and it worked great, except that they did not include the Mountain Dew...or they said the bellmen often steal this item and it was actually included

I called and left a message with them and they never got back to me. I called when I got home and they refunded the $. This was a primary reason to order from them instead of buying groceries at WDW (since they only have coke products), but the rest of the order was great.

We have used garden grocer three twice and will again in Oct. For my youngest DDs 1st trip she was only 7months old so I needed baby food and formula. Although there we limited selections (I used Gerber) I just made do for the week and she didn't care much. This past April she was already on table foods (she was 13 months) so I ordered fruits, applesauce and green beans (her favorite at the time). I have not made a special request myself but have read many people have done so with success!!

I also used Disney's cake service for my DDs cake - it was great and waiting at the restaurant for us!!! All I had to do was bring the candle!!!

I prefer to use wegoshop.com for our grocery delivery. Instead of ordering from a set list like at Garden Grocer, you give them the brands and sizes you want and that is what they shop for. You indicate in advance if you will accept brand substitutions or not. There is not a mark up on the grocery cost itself and they will shop in the store you requeset. Their delivery fee is higher, but there is no minimum order amount. Also they always (5 times) have given us a 30 minute delivery window, not a 2 hour delivery window. We have always been very pleased.

I used garden grocer in August and will use them again

I asked for items not on their list and they got them with no problem.
(they'll do alcohol also if you request it)

I used wegoshop and will not use them again. (late, missing items, not
returning calls, etc. )

Gardengrocer was cheaper also!

I used Garden Grocer in April 2008 and was pleased. Everything we ordered was present and exactly as described. We ordered fresh fruit and produce as well as milk, bread, lunch meat, etc. Everything was very nice. We plan to use them again in April 2009.

We also stayed at VWL. Our order actually was delivered about 2 hours before we got to the resort (it was delivered while we were still on the airplane ... there was a message from GG on our cell phone we we landed). Bell services delivered our order when we called down to inquire and the cold stuff was still cold when delivered.

Have used them two years in a row now and have been very happy with them. We even ended up with an extra jar of pickles this year!
