Garden grocer or wegoshop....??

Which one is better?

We have used Garden Grocer 3 times and have been very satisfied. I have only looked at the wegoshop website and for some reason it didn't appeal to me as much.

Our orders have always been on time and correct.

I was very happy with Garden Grocer last May which was the first time I used them. I was also happy with MouseConceirge who was able to provide the wine, spirits, and beer we wanted.

I did look at the wegoshop website and it didn't appeal to me either. I live in California and the stores are so different and the brands of food, that I really want to look at the picture of the item I want, look at the price and click.

I have done both. I prefer wegoshop. Garden grocer inflates their prices. With wegoshop you tell them what store to go to and what product to buy. They bring you the receipt. You pay whats on the receipt plus a service fee and thats it. Much better deal using wegoshop. For example a box of cereal at GG is $5.99 the same box at Walmart is $2.99. pixiedust:

I love wegoshop. It doesn't take long to type my list and I like that I get a receipt. I thought that Garden Grocer prices were too high.

I have used both. So far, I prefer Garden Grocer for the ability to see the product, point & click.

Amy was not able to get all the items on my list, mainly because of the Sam's Club that she chose to shop in. The items are stocked in both Orlando Sam's Clubs, but not the Sanford Sam's Club.

I liked Amy and everything that was procured arrived in good shape, but I prefer a delivery with no surprises.

I prefer Garden Grocer. Prices may be higher, but I don't like the idea of having to write out a complete list, including brands and sizes. I am from Canada and don't have access to the same sizing of packages. Making a list would be a real hassle. With garden grocer, I just point and click.

We have used Garden Grocer before, but used WeGoShop on our last trip. Being from Canada, we had the same concerns. Having shopped ourselves, when we had a car, we had a rough idea of what we wanted. I made a list and then used the Walmart website to add brands and sizes. It worked for us. We got everything on our list with a few substitutions (as allowed). I think the biggest reason we choose WGS over GG was the availability of alcohol (Brands we wanted).

Never used WeGoShop and have used Garden Grocer 3 times with no problems. I as others have mentioned like the convenience of point and click versus writing out a detailed list. I also do not think the prices are that bad(try Disney's prices). They have a very extensive list to choose from so they probably have just what you want.
Having said that I might give WeGoShop a shot this next trip just to see for myself the difference...smjj

Point and click option is appealing, but it's also why I chose to go with WeGoShop originally. I've used them for several years. I buy lots of items that aren't on the typical grocery list, but WGS usually can handle my very specific requests. Maybe Garden grocer has updated since I checked them out, though.

I do keep my shopping list from year to year and just make adjustments to it. It helps make it easier than starting from scratch every year.

We used WeGoShop for the first time this year. I liked the fact that I got a receipt and was only hit with a service charge/tip. Got similar prices to what I'm used to paying on just about everything. Everything went well on the delivery. We'll use again.

Just curious (as it wasn't OP's question)... Walmart was mentioned in a post. They deliver, for free, on items totalling $45 (that are in their "home" delivery special category). Why don't people get groceries delivered by them?

The prices at Garden Grocer are really reasonable. Try living in California if you want to see high prices especially in the Bay Area!

The WM service is "shipped" not "delivered", and I'm not sure I'd want anything perishable sent this way. It would be rare that I did not order something perishable in my order for the week.

As for WGS vs. GG: they are more alike than different, both have good reputations. I'd pick based on which ordering style you like more. I find GG's more convenient, but some people like the additional level of control you get with WGS.

Does anyone know if the local Sams Club does the click-n-pull? We use it here in PA and it would save some time if we decided to just rent a car and shop ourselves.

good point!

Wegoshop is great! I used them in November over thanksgiving. The woman was so nice. Actually called me a few times and all of our stuff was waiting. It was perfect. Saved me about $50 compared to garden grocer.

We've only used Garden Grocer, and have been quite happy. I am a point & click kind of girl, and have no idea what stores are near WDW or what their prices might be. If I want something that isn't shown on GG's website, I type it in at the end (like beer or wine, or anything else) and they'll call you to make sure they've got it right. I like that. They also call and let you know when they've delivered your order. We always arrive after the last delivery time, so it's nice to know that the order has made it to the resort, even if we're not there yet.

I agree w/ PP, that both services are probably equally good. Your personal shopping style will probably determine which one you'll want to use.
