At least I think those are the two that deliver right?? I would like to know what you like about either one or dislike?? Why go with one vs. the other? I know they have a delivery fee but do you tip the delivery person on top of that too? Thanks.

We used Wegoshop and they were great. We were going at Christmas and wanted a huge Turkey for 12 people and a baking tray and the lady (sorry can't remember her name) purchased one for us along with a pre-lit 6ft Christmas tree. basically anything we wanted, she got for us.

Would thoroughly recommend this service and yes we did tip well, although a very modest delivery charge was added we felt that the service we received was above and beyond anything we could expect.

I went onto Garden Grocer and did a mock order of what we usually get at Publix when we do the free grocery stop with the car service and I think the delivery is actually pretty close if not maybe a bit cheaper. The only thing I could not find on their site is string cheese/cheese sticks. We always buy those. Pretty much was able to find most stuff if not substitutions that would work too. The thing that gets us.....we get to the grocery store and we ARE STARVING......so we tend to buy more than we actually need for our trip. The kids are hungry so they are throwing stuff into the cart not to mention dh who is just as bad. So I was thinking of trying a service in July.

We loved WeGoShop. We have used this service 3 or 4 times and my sis has used them also. I like the fact that I make the grocery list with specific brands and sizes, not a preset list of products. They will shop at the store of your choice, Publix, Target, Walmart, Sams, Whole Foods, etc. We have them deliver right to the room. I usually have the delivery set up for 5:30-6:00, when we get our room number I call Marge let her know.
WeGoShop is a shopping service, where as Garden Grocer is an online grocery store. I liked the personal touch and Marge was fantastic to work with.

I love wegoshop. I like paying for the groceries plus a delivery fee. At Garden Grocer they raise the price of everything. I'm sure it works out the same in the end, it's just the way I am more comfortable with.

I am going on my second trip using Garden Grocer and they were great. Also if something is not on their list and you want it just drop them a line and they will get it for you.

We used wegoshop last summer and love the service. If you have specific items you want at a particular store, then I would say wegoshop is the one. I've heard that Marge will pick up other non food items for you in a pinch. We needed specific items from Whole Foods and I shopped Publix's ad for fruits/veges on special the week we went.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

We have used Garden Grocer our last two trips.
We had no problems with them.
They never came at the requested time, though.
We requested evening and late afternoon deliveries and both times the order had already arrived by noon.
I'm sure they deliver more than one order at a time so I would think the earliest time requested is when they deliver.
The delivery Fee is $12 and we did add a tip right in at the time of purchase.
There is a line for it at check out.

We have considered switching to Wego for our next trip.
The prices would be a bit cheaper and we would have an unlimited selection of items.
The delivery Fee is $5 more ($17) and they also charge a 3% surcharge if you use a Credit Card.
So that might eat up the savings.
There would be a 10% charge to leave it a Bell Services but I would tip atleast that anyways.

I think for a smaller order with just snacks and drinks, I would stick with GG.
But for a larger order with real food, meat and veges, I would go with Wego.

I love Garden Grocer basically because I can just go on the website, pick out what I want and be done with it. Making a list is just way to much work for me (lol).

Have used GG twice, both times groceries were there before we were, both times I added items, that morning from the airport and they were included in my order.

We have used WegoShop the last 3-4 times we have gone. In January we had another family with us and were able to place seperate orders and we arranged with Marge to have them delivered at the same time. It was great!! We are using her services again in May. I like it because I can order whatever I want and I don't have to pick from a list. Service is always top notch.

Ditto. I love GG! :thumbsup2

If you order through them, watch the quantities. I ordered bananas, and put in 1. Well, bless the buyer's heart, because he/she figured out that I didn't want just 1 banana! :lmao: They delivered 6 and did not charge.

They delivered everything requested, and arrived on time. We never care when they deliver, though, as we're usually at a water park. They just leave it with the resort, and we have them bring it up later that evening.

:thumbsup2We have used WeGoShop and have been very pleased. We have booked them for our short trip coming up in April. We used them for a long Fall trip where we ate at our villa practically every meal so we used a lot of groceries as well as beer and wine.

I saved precious vacation time for vacation and not grocery shopping.

Very professional and they followed up if we were happy.

We have used GG a few times and no complaints. Did call WeGO and something to think about if you have alcohol......wego requires you to be there for delivery to check you ID. GG did not require this...........as I totally understand this it is easier for me to have them just drop everything off at BS and I will have them bring it up when it is good for me. Also if over 200 GG waiver delivery charge. If they don't have an item just put in notes or reply to delivery confirmation. We always forget stuff and think of it later and GG has always come thru added it no problem. I plan to use them for all our trips until I have an issue with them (hopefully never!).

I have not used either but have been considering using one over the years.

I think I would choose WeGoShop. I like the upfront charges. Pay for actual cost of food plus service charge. Versus paying for marked up food with no service charge.

Also, GG had a run of bad customer service a couple years ago with respected DISer's that left me hesitant to use them. I know there was a rough spot in WeGoShop's history but it was right before it transitioned to the new owners.

We used Garden Grocer in Feb. and the string cheese is there -- took me a while to find it -- it's in the Cheese, Shredded, Cubed and Grated section. We were really happy with Garden Grocer, mostly because we found the bread and produce very fresh.

And I much preferred making the order up ALONE, since I know that I have a better idea of what we'll actually go through in a week and what would mostly just get wasted.

I will have to search. I only found a bunch of sliced type cheeses. THE SEARCH IS ON. LOL
