Hi all, we have used garden grocer in the past and have been happy with them. We are trying to decide if we need to use them again. We will have the basic dining plan. There is 4 of us, me, dh, and dd 6 dd 8. Staying for 7 nights at ASMu. We will NOT have a fridge, thought of ordering a styrofoam cooler with our food?!?

So my question is, if you have done the basic dining plan did you also need to use garden grocer and if so give me some ideas on what to buy........ I don't want to waste a lot but not sure what we would need with the dining plan as we haven't done it... thanks!

I am contemplating the same thing. Would love to hear input as well!

Same issue here! I'm thinking about it, and I think I'm going to ordering from the garden grocer, but not much. Just some bread, PB&J, soy milk for my girls, some pretzles, water, maybe some fresh fruit.... thats about it. No more than $65 not including delivery charges. I think its worth it, especially with kids (mine will be 2 and almost 4)

We had the dining plan, and my folks also shared our food, and on the last day, we ended up with 13 snack credits! We did garden grocer, so we had so many left. You are able to get a package of bagels or a box of donuts for a snack credit - we did use up the 2 cases of water we ordered, though, but we would've been fine food-wise without garden grocer.

your no longer able to get boxes of anything with snack credits, only single serve items :headache:

As far as I know, the policy of getting a box of donuts for a snack is no longer an option. We did order food from GG for our trip next week. We ordered water, diet pepsi, grapes (probably don't need these), bananas, water, yogurt, breakfast snacks and some sun chips. The plan is to be out the door by 7:20 for early emh's so we can quickly snack in the room and give the boys something to hold them over for late breakfast adrs. I'll let you know if we needed it or not! We do have 1 ds who is almost 2, so he has to share meals so some snacks may come in handy.

When is your trip?

We primarily order drinks, breakfast food and snacks from gardengrocer. We like to take our own water/soda into the parks to save $ and valuable snack credits.

Yes - I have been on the Basic Plan before and used a grocery service. We typically eat a small breakfast in the room. Cereal, yogurt, toast, fruit, milk, coffee. So I order those things along with a case of water. Without a fridge I don't think I would use a delivery service - I would use my snack credits instead for those small breakfast items and then order the case of water from Costco. With kids your age I doubt you will be spending much time in the room anyway.

We're going in 7 DAYS!!! and we're on DDP. All our ADRs are for dinners, so I'm counting on gardengrocer to supply breakfast. Here's what I ordered:

- 2 cases of bottled water to bring to the parks with us
- breakfast stuff: cereal, milk, pop tarts, muffins, donuts
- 1 sleeve of juice boxes
- fruit: melon, oranges and bananas
- snacks for the kids to munch on while on line: fruit by the foot, raisins, chips

We went in June and were on the basic dining plan. I had packed a suitcase full of some of our favorite snacks but I did order breakfast items from GardenGrocer. We did a fridge swap that we found on the budget board but we were there for a few days before our fridge was going to be available so I ordered a styrofoam cooler and it did great for keeping milk, water, and gatorade cold.

We could have easily went the whole week without getting the fridge.
