Garden Grill.....

Is the Garden Grill only an all you can eat affair?
We have PS for 2/14 for lunch and I was wondering if they have a regular menu as well or just the spread?

I'm pretty sure it's just the assorted foods that they bring to your table. I don't believe there is a choice like there is at Ohana and Whispering Canyon. They never offered us a menu when we ate at Garden Grill anyway if they do offer other items. The food is good there though, nothing fancy but a good meal none the less. The characters there were some of the friendliest and most affectionate I've ever encountered.

there's only one menu and it's all-you-can-eat. There are no a'la carte selections. One of my favorites.

Had to laugh at that. Almost 2 years ago, I went to GG, and saw the funniest character "routine" I have ever seen. It didn't seem rehearsed at all. Which two characters are a little fuzzy...but I think it was Chip and Mickey...went a little something like this...
They were making the rounds and they had both arrived at our area at the same time (my table and a family with a small child at a table next to us). Chip picked up this kid's toy (it was a trigger thing with a fist on the end, so that when you pushed it the fist went out) and pulled the trigger at Mickey and made the fist hit Mickey's face. Then Mickey "fell down" on the ground from the hit. Chip turned looked at us and put his hand over his face (character's version of laughing) and we all laughed with him. At this point, Mickey was behind him on the ground, out of his vision as far as I could tell. Mickey raised his head, looked at us and as Chip started to walk away, leaving Mickey laying there, Mickey's foot shot out and tripped Chip. Chip then REALLY fell to the ground, Mickey was laughing and we were all cracking up so hard. It was hysterical.

Seeing that the menu is flank steak and catfish I think we will cancel our ps.

The menu also includes a salad, bread, rotisserie chicken or turkey breast, fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, and a seasonal dessert. The flank steak is marinated and very tender, and the catfish is freshwater farm-raised fillets (I don't like that "fishy" flavor that some fish have, and this is very mild).
There is also a childrens menu available with chicken fingers and macaroni, and a vegetarian stew is offered as well.

the food here is sooooo good! The flank steak is so good thet I got the recipe! Although, mine is never quite as good as theirs! LOL!!!

Do they put the fish in the same skillet as everything else? I have a fish allergy and can't have them mixing.

When you made your PS, you should have told them about your allergy. It's not too late to call and have it noted on the PS. They will give you a phone number to call the week before your meal so that the chefs are aware and can make the proper considerations.

They bring the skillet full, then if you want more, they're supposed to bring you more of what you want.

However, our waitress, Kathryn, was so horrible that she gave an attitude every time we asked for something, like we were putting her out... for a while, she didn't even come by the table to check on us... then just hurried us into the dessert.

Seems she should be working at Prime Time Cafe. LOL

But the FOOD WAS TASTY GOOD! The desert was apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream and that was YUMMY!
