Hey all...I am thinking for my next trip dining at the Garden Grill. I always pass it when we head to Soarin, but I wanted to get ya'lls opinions on it and how the food was, what did they offer, etc? TIA

We like this restaurant. It is one that is very divided among the DISboards. I have our review from May in my blog with some pictures. There is a link in my signature.

Turkey, Steak and "A Sustainable Fish of the Day" are the meats with a green salad with buttermilk dressing, a variety of rolls, vegetables and stuffing. The kids portions are mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. They may eat off your plate as well as you eat from theirs.

We are dining there for the first time in December and this is one of the restaurants that we are very excited about trying. We always pass it saying how cool the restaurant is because it moves while you eat. I have read in other threads that the character interaction there is really good as well. We can't wait.

Was just there on 10/24 for my ds's 5th bday dinner. The character interaction was great - came around twice. Our server wasn't. We had to ask her to even sing happy b-day and she grumbled about how she had a bad singing voice and didn't like to sing but would do it (who cares, he's 5!!!) Pluto happened to be nearby when it happened so that was cool, but I saw another server go all out for a 5th b-day. Real disappointing in that respect.

The food was great. My dh said it was his fave meal - and we did other great ones, like Les Chefs and Coral Reef. The dressing on the salad is now a vinagrette. I can't remember exactly, but she said they'd switched from ranch. We liked it a lot. Really nice salad, real greens, not iceberg lettuce. The bread was delicious.

Dessert was a blueberry buckle with whipped cream, and dirt for the kids.

Thank you for all the replies! It definitely helps my decision to go there next time. It always seems like such a cool place and I never knew that it rotated.

We ate there in October and it was just o.k. Our server was fantastic, the characters were fine and salad and bread were delicious, but compared to other character meals it was just average. The food was nothing to write home about. By all means, try it, just don't be expecting the best meal of your trip.

We are looking forward to our first ever ADR there later this month. I'm worried that 7:15 is going to be late though. Hoping we don't get pushed later and later by the earlier ADR. We have brunch at 10:50 in Norway with the Princesses so guess we'll just wait and see.

Its always my favorite meal on vacation at Garden Grill - the character interaction is truly the best out of all the character meals and the food is FABULOUS!!! We had an ADR to there this past trip and it was so good we called and got another ADR for later in our trip - thank heavens there was a cancellation we could get in!! I feel its much better than even Le Cellier

We tried it for the first time this past summer, after passing it up on previous trips. The food was really good (we did not care for the dessert) and the characters were great!

We loved it! Great character interaction, good food, & it was a quieter place to dine. I was very hesistant at first because of the reviews & I wasn't sure my DD18 & DS 12 would enjoy the character interaction. It was one of the best moments of our trip--so much fun! My DD was in tears from laughing so hard.

This is my oldest son's favorite restaurant in DW. We've gone there during every visit. He is 19 now and a sophomore in college. We are going this Thanksgiving and he asked to go there. We love it. The atmosphere and service are always great. Is the food gormet quality? No. But who cares.
