We went to the Garden Grill years ago and liked it. I have made ADR's for our upcoming trip. Has anyone been there lately? TIA:)

We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and it was one of our favorite memories of this trip. My husband and I took all three of our infant/toddler grandchildren to dinner so the parents could all have a night out.

When we first sat down I was seriously wondering if we had gotten ourselves in over our heads (it's been a long time since I wrangled 3 little ones), but things settled down nicely pretty quickly. The server and the characters couldn't have been better!

The characters each came around twice. Of course they needed to keep to a schedule, but they took time to play with the kids and posed for pictures. We had three character meals and this was by far the best. The server was as nice as she could be. I think she took pity on us (we needed it!), but she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. (My food got cold as I fed one of the kids, and she brought me a whole new family-size platter!)

The food was ok - not particularly memorable in either a good or bad way, but the kids loved the frost-your-own-cupcake dessert. We would definitely do the Garden Grill again!

We just ate there last week. The character interaction was fabulous. They actually sat down at the table with us! The view as the restaurant turned around was an interesting component of the meal. The food was fine. Actually, the greenbeans were quite good. We never tried the fried catfish. After dinner, we went on the land ride. We would do this meal again. All in all, it was very fun.

We ate there last week. The food is good-try the catfish, salad is great! We only got the characters once, but it was fun.

We make this one of our stops every time we visit. Last time we were there was last November. We find the food to be good (its the only place I will eat catfish or turkey!) We've lucked out with character interaction too.

Is there a better area to ask to be seated in? Is the restaurant one floor or two floors? Can all tables see the land ride?

I really liked it a few weeks ago, and it's one of dh's must-do's for next trip. (Maybe I'm overly sensitive because I've not ever seen anyone else mention it, but the slow movement just made me feel weird.)

Character interaction was GREAT! Chip or Dale sat on the floor with the kids and played games, colored with them, looked out over the balcony with them. The characters came by so many times we finally just started waving them on by.

Food was very good. I'm a homestyle person so I loved the beans and catfish. And the puff berry dessert was awesome.

Thanks for the great info! Is there any difference between lunch and dinner, other than price?:confused3

We just ate there for the first time on our last trip. The place was half empty so the character interaction was terrific. The service however, was awful and so frustrating. We asked for some more of some of the foods and by the time we saw the waiter again- we asked him to forget it and just bring dessert. Food was pretty poor IMO (i know i just said we asked for more= but overall, food was pretty bad).

We had lunch there this past Tuesday. It was good, as usual. There are two tiers with the inside one a few feet above the outer one. This restaurant is a good value if you're hungry.

Garden Grill is *ok*. The food is not the greastest but we did eat all of it. One thing I did like there is we had our 2.5 year old with us and we did not buy her a meal (she was eating off of our plates at all restaurants on the DDP) and they still brought out a kids plate with mac n cheese and chicken nuggets as well as a cupcake for dessert - at no charge. The characters were great and we did see them a couple of times. Overall it was just *ok*, I probably wouldn't go running back but it wasn't the worst place I've ever been.

Went there in March and I loved it, I loved last September as well. The dessert is to die for. If I could I'd go there every trip, but sadly I can't.

We just went to Garden Grill for lunch at the beginning of May and we really loved it. I was nervous at first because of the family style food. But it was good. Kids had mac and cheese and chicken fingers and decorated the cupcakes at the end. DH and I enjoyed the other food and I was able to sneak in some green beans into DS9 as that is one of the few veggies he will eat. The adult dessert was wonderful as well. DH is the food person in our house and he gave it:thumbsup2

Service was great. Our server was very attentive.

The character interaction was very "intimate" (the word DH told me to use). They were very good with the kids. Mickey and Pluto eached rubbed noses with DS4 which he thought was great.

We would go back again!

The better view is on the lower level of the restaurant. They tried to seat us up above, but we politely declined the table and they immediately walked us to a lower one. No problem.

I ate there last week and enjoyed it a lot. The food was pretty good and the characters very attentive. :) If you like the setting, which I do very much, it is a nice meal.

That's MHO. :)
