Garden Grill - Why don't they have more times available?

We love Garden Grill, had a reservation at the beginning of our and because of Tropical Storm Irene we had to change all our reservations (to the right 2days)... Our Garden Grill got chopped in the process.... this is the 3rd trip to WDW and we can't get in... why did they do away with lunch if this place is SO popular? Any tips on last minute reservations?

Next time I go I swear I'm going to book Garden Grill all days and cancel when we are sure to depart!!!

I wish they would offer it as a breakfast. I have two boys so I would definitely do that over the Norway Princess breakfast.

It's a very busy restaurant....especially since like you said they did away with lunch. I'd just keep trying and then ask someone at the front desk if they can let you know if a reservation opens too...sometimes people cancel last minute. Don't give up....check in at the podium when you arrive at Epcot too and ask if there is anyway they can squeeze you in...they may have a last minute opening

We had to cancel today for 8/30 so some lucky couple got our reservation. I'm sure... going to check but my experience has been NO LUCK this late in the game...

I learned, always ask at the front desk of your hotel! We were so bummed last May, we could not get into Tusker House for breakfast, Donald is DS's fav and we were really excited to see he has "his own" meal! I asked at the front desk when we arrived, nothing, but the CM told me, he would keep checking for me. The next day, I didn't see him as we were leaving for the parks, so I asked a different CM to check, again, nothing. That afternoon, while walking through the lobby, I heard my name being called and yes, it was the first CM I talked too, he found us a table for the next morning! I couldn't thank him enough! So, just be very polite and keep asking! You never know when the pixie dust will hit you!

butterfly - Thank you!!! I'll do that... I guess it depends on the Cast Member... some of them seem grumpy... LOL!

I really really really wish they had a waiting list... maybe sometime soon...
