Garden Grill seating?

We have an ADR for the Garden Grill at the end of January. Reading some reviews and such, I'm getting some vague notions about "upper" and "lower" levels of seating. Which is better? I know that the restaurant rotates, and I think that some nice views are what interests me (assuming that the characters are on both levels).

If I can give a seating request when we check in, I would like to know what to request, if anything.

Thanks!

The lower level provides the best views. The characters come around on both levels. The first time we had dinner at this place we sat on the upper level and the view was not as good.:)

Think of Garden Grill as a circular restaurant. The lover level seating has circular booths with very high backs that face out. From these booths you have the best view of the scenary as the restaurant turns ever so slowly (think about one revolution or so as you dine)

The upper level has a more limited view over the lower level booths. Larger parties usually go to the upper level as there are tables that can accomodate more people.

Hope that helps:thumbsup2

We're a party of 7. 5A 2C, will we end up on the upper level? What if I request the lower level?

Can you see the views of the "living with the land" ride from the upper level?

Thanks:goodvibes

We have eatten there twice, we're also a party of 7 only reverse of you (5C 2A) and the first time we were on the lower level, last time the top. I much prefer the lower level.

Thank you! I'll be sure to request a lower level seating. So, I'm assuming there are tables for 7 on the lower level no matter if the party is mostly adults or children...???

Thank you for replying!:goodvibes

Lower level definately. Yes they can fit 7 in a booth area. You will take up two tables I would imagine, but in your booth rather than two families in one booth. If that makes sense.

We ate there on our last trip with then DD4 and DD2-- we were on the lower level facing out and we would have actually preferred the upper level. For us, we enjoyed character meals because it entertained DD2-- she was not fun in restaurants and with the characters coming around to the tables we could distact her.

When you sit on the lower level, it is very private, which can be a good thing.. but not with a disagreeable 2 year old! We felt like we were sort of stuck in the booth.. sort of claustophobic (for us).

Once you are in that tall booth-- you cannot see out in terms of viewing other people or characters at the other tables.

Just my 2 cents, I am sure we wouldn't have felt that way if we had older kids!

have a great trip- jen
