My two boys and I had lunch here on our last day in the parks, which was Thursday 6/17.

The characters were Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale- dressed in farmer garb.

All You Care to Eat Signature Skillet

Whole Grain Bread-- The bread was good, but not great. Out rolls had been sitting out too long, making them a tad 'dry'. Taste was good, and the maple butter was fantastic.

Grilled Flank Steak-- This was far and away the best item on the menu. It was seasoned with herbs, and was cooked medium-well. I really liked it a lot.

Country Style Catfish-- Was just so-so. Breaded and wasn't the best catfish I have had. The boys thought it was mediocre as well.

Rotisserie Meats-- Rotisserie Chicken is what we had. It was OK, moist and tasty- but nothing to write home about.

Chef's Potatoes-- This was the second best thing on the menu. The potatoes (mashed) were of good consistency, and the herb gravy was excellent.

Seasonal Vegetables-- Just OK- we didn't even finish the first serving they brought out. No one liked them all that much, they were bland (although there were herbs on them, they weren't noticable in the taste). The corn-on-the cob here was good, however.

Cornbread Stuffing-- Another good item on the menu. Was a little 'wet', but very tasty.

Dessert-- We had strawberry shortcake, and it was good. The shortcake had a little too much shortening taste, but it was still a nice finish to the meal.

Non-Alcoholic Beverage-- Sprite, Coke, and Chocolate Milk

Overall, this was a decent character meal and I would consider it again as a second or third choice on another trip. We have had 'event' meals that were much worse, and only one or two that have been better. Recommended.

Blessings :)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Since I have a PS there for Sept. I appreciate reading the review. I'm expecting it to be fine but not incredible, which it sounds like it is.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it overall.

BTW, Could you feel the restaurant revolving? Did the children notice it? I'm just a tad concerned over my dd who gets motion ill quite easily.

You notice it for a couple minutes, then things become normal. It is no big deal, my son gets motion sick and he had no problems- my other son didn't even notice we were moving until about 30 minutes into lunch- LOL.

Blessings :)

I can't believe we've never tried it -- somehow I think we've gotten the impression that it wasn't very vegetarian friendly. (I know, with the name you'd think it would be.)

Did you have any feelings one way or the other about vegetarian options?

Well, I'm sure you could ask your server to just bring the non-meat foods. When we've gone, there was salad, bread/butter, mac 'n cheese, grilled veggies (squash, carrots, broccoli, etc), mashed potatoes (and gravy), french fries, and of course dessert.

I'm sure you could fill up on all of this, but IMO it wouldn't be worth the price. I think it was $21.99 or $23.99. If you eat fish, there were the breaded catfish filets which I thought were very good.

Thanks for the review! We'll be eating there on Wednesday evening and I'm really looking forward to it.

We are not vegetarian, but when we ate there in May I noticed a sign that offered a vegetarian meal. I believe it was based on Tofu and soy products along with the vegetables etc. You might want to call the restaurant to get the specific details.
