Does anyone still know if this is being done? My girlfriend is going next year and it is her 10th but will have her mom and daughter also on the trip so she was thinking ice cream celebration and mentioned Beaches and Cream or Ghiridelli's.

I thought I read someplace on these boards about a "Re-Hitching Ceremony" along with the ice cream social at the Garden Grill.

Help?

Ya, my wife and I did that a couple of months ago, It was alot of fun. She set it up so I dont know all the details. I belive you need to make reservations in advance. The person at the front desk needed to ask somebody what it was, so dont worry if it takes a few minutes before they know why your there. The ceremony itself probably lasts about 20min. Hope you have a good time!

When you make your PS for the Ice Cream Social. Make sure you tell the CM that you would like the Re-Hitching Cermony. It will be noted for the restaurant.

Last month when we were at our Ice Cream Social, a couple got re-hitched. Usually the characters will make a point of being there during the cermony. Have fun!

Howdy neighbor (I live VERY CLOSE to Cherry Hill :D )

We did the re-hitching ceremony last November. It is a very popular event, so I'm sure they still do it. It was WELL WORTH IT......I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a special Disney memory! However, just to be on the safe side, call Disney Dining and ask the CM to call the Garden Grill directly for confirmation that they still do this.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the news - looks good so I am going to pass this along to my friend so she can start planning.

This board is the best!

Just got back from WDW, and had parents rehitched at Garden Grille Ice Cream Social. It was very cute. I mentioned it when I made the PS, and again when we checked in. I snuck in the Bride and Groom Mickey hats (with "50's" on them). After the ice cream, the CM came over and very loudly announced that my parents were celebrating 50 years, and asked everyone to help celebrate. Everyone was clapping. Then all the characters came over, including Mickey. She very quickly did the marriage vows, and then had them kiss. Then Mickey danced with my Mom. It was very adorable. Actually, the restaurant was pretty empty -- it was around 4:00pm on a weekday! I think it was a simple, cut thing to do. My kids loved it!
