We're trying to decide which character meal to do. We have never eaten at H&V, and I've read many bad reviews of the place. Some say the breakfast is good. Our youngest son loves Handy Manny and Oso, so that is why we were thinking of trying it. I know Manny has meet/greets. Does Oso? Anywhere else we can see him at DHS?

We've eaten at Garden Grill many times and really like the food/characters.

Just tring to decide if we should try H&V or just stick with what we already know we like?

I have not doen the breakfast there, but back in september for dinner it was my least favorite dinning experience of the whole trip, we had to wait quite a while and the food was just blah...

As per Garden grill will be eating there in Dec. have read the food is FANTASTIC.

With that if you are going for the kiddos to see characters then it might be worth, I mean it is kinda hard to screw up breakfast, in fact breakfast at Crystal Palace was my favorite meal last trip.

Do H&V for breakfast.... We do this every trip and don't even have kids!

H&V lunch/dinner reviews are awful... and we will never step foot in the Garden Grill again because it was terrible and the character interaction was rushed and blah. The H&V characters are amazing with kids... really lots of attention!!

Hollywood and Vine breakfast is great. The food is good enough --- it's standard breakfast food, cooked very well... plus mickey waffles. The character interaction is the best.... table greetings - autographs, hugs, photos, high fives, etc.... and repeatedly, the cast members lead dancing with the characters and children to Dis Playhouse music. Check out my review.
Another plus is you can schedule an 8am breakfast at HnV before the park opens (if it's opening at 9am). It's nice to get some photos taken on Hollywood Blvd without crowds in the background... and to be fed and ready to go at 9am.

But we also enjoyed Garden Grill for the 1st time in Dec. 2010. I'd do both!!!
