Garden Grill or 50's Prime Time Cafe

Hi, Does anyone have an opinion on which of these two resturants is the best. I can't decide which one to eat at on our trip to the world in May. It will just be my husband and I, no children. Both of them look fun to me and we haven't tried either one and I only have one my meal to make a reservations for. Help! Thank you

My family and I love these two restaurants, so it is hard for me to say which one is the best. However, I think the atmosphere at 50's Prime Time Cafe is a little better than Garden Grill's. My suggestion is to take a look at both menus and see which one appeals to you more and base your decision on that.

Haven't ate at the garden grill but 50's prime time has good home cooked comfort food and the setting is fun. I would also base some of my decesion on what park you plan on being at that day.

I guess I'm the odd man out on this one. DH and I did a adults only trip a few years ago and we absolutely loved Garden Grill.

I think it really depends on whether you like a family style menu, Garden Grill or a traditional menu, 50's Prime Time.

Also, at Garden Grill you get the characters and DH and I loved it. Even though we didn't have our DS with us, it was still a wonderful meal and the characters interacted with us just like they had on the occasions that DS had been with us.

As other posters have said, both are good and it depends on which park you intend on being in that night.

For the 50's cafe, its a noiser atmospher, more energetic, if the waitress is a good one and plays her role, she will holler at you to get your elbows off the table, stop using your phone, sit up straight, etc. Its all in fun of course. The tables are closer together, and TVs are going all over the room showing old TV shows from the 50s and 60s. The food is great, huge milkshakes, fried chicken, I feel like I have to be rolled out of there.

The Garden Grill is a much calmer, quieter place which slowly revolves above The Land boat ride. There are no TVs, the wait staff does not yell, but you do meet Chip and Dale and Mickey and Pluto, so its not boring. Our party is all adults, and we love meeting these characters. Food is served family style, and its good too, the last few times we went it was beef and fish, potatoes, a veggie, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. It might have changed by now. Great cobbler dessert.

We always try to hit both places, you can't go wrong with either choice.

Just got back from Disney on Sunday, we ate at Garden Grill our first night and it was great! The character interaction was by far the best we had all week. The characters were so fun! My family really liked it there.

I never ate at Sci-Fi but, I wouldnt mind trying it, I heard great things about that place too.
