What do you think? Also do you know which characters are in attendance? Is it just Chip and Dale?

Garden Grille characters are Chip and Dale, Mickey and Pluto. I would probably rather eat dinner elsewhere in Epcot. If character dining is what you are looking for, try the Princess Storybook dining at Restaurant Arkeshus in Norway.

We like Garden Grill. The food is family style and good. It offers something a little different than a buffet.

Kids like the restaurant not only for the characters but also because the whole thing rotates. Also unless they have changed it, the kids' dessert is cool--they get to create their own cupcake. It's an unfrosted cupcake with frosting (or maybe whipped topping) and different things to put on top--sprinkles, mini m&m's....:yay:

We just got back from Disney and Garden Grill was one of our ADR's and ended up being our best meal of the trip!!!!! The meal was amazing and the character interaction was great! I was a little concerned about it because I hear a lot of negative reviews and I am glad we stuck to that ADR!

This was everyones favorite place to go. When we were there DD was collecting/trading pins. Well much to Chips dismay DD had no pin of Chip. He put his hands on his hips and looked down at her :goodvibes, he then noticed she had a goofy plush toy and a goofy pin, he walked a way sulking. Next thing you know he came around the corner and took her goofy toy and ran off with it:rotfl2: We all laughed hysterically! He did bring it back, DD still talks about it.:lovestruc:lovestruc

We disliked it. We sat on the "upper level" and felt we were too cramped. The service and characters felt rushed, and the soundtrack from the Living With the Land ride was loud and distracting.

But the food was OK.

Loved this character meal! We went for our daughter's 1st birthday and it was just what we were hoping for! Tasty food and great character interaction plus an awesome server. We really couldn't ask for more. We will be doing this again next time we go. :thumbsup2

We make this our first dinner the day we get to Disney. The food has always been really good. The only time we had any issue was with a large group and were seated on the top level (Group of 8 including DD5 and DD2 on first trip to World). It was difficult for characters to make their way around on top level along with servers despite their best efforts. On trip in 09 sat on lowest level (only family of four this time) and found it to be very enjoyable with great character interaction (booth with high back made for great privacy and reduced noise from surrounding tables).

Lower level seating is great...The food is not fancy but is nice...Served family-style which is a nice change from character buffet meals...We like it a lot!

We really liked Garden Grill. You get Farmer Mickey in his overalls. And, I did not think the Land ride was distracting. We had upper level and really liked that part of it. The food is served family style. I think the food has been better with some of the other character meals, but we enjoyed it and would go back.

We did not like it when we were there in 2008. It was the worst Disney meal we've ever had--and we have dined at lots of places there. The characters were fun though.

We ate there on Sunday Feb 28th. We celebrated my DH's and my DNephew's birthday. It was just 4 adults and we got a lot of Character visits. Our CM was great, and the food was good.

A Hearty YES YES YES YES YES

We ALWAYS eat here, 3 kids see it as a tradition. It's usually of our only 2 table service meals, and we just love it. Great character interaction, and I really like the catfish.

Good times and really cool scenery as the platform SLOWLY spins.

Not the most relaxed dinner, but I would love to be able to plop myself there right now!

The Land is my favorite pavillion.

If you are into hidden mickeys, there is a very strange but real one on the right hand wall as you exit the restaurant, it's hidden in the weeds on the wall.

Either get the hidden mickeys guide or ask a castmember....

Wish we were going, need to skip the trip this year. :-(

we ate there the week of thanksgiving - there were 6 adults and a 1 yr old - the food was very good, the character interaction was GREAT - farmer mickey, pluto, chip and dale -
very good experience and would highly recommend it
refills on everything - hot, tasty and good service

no, this is not an exciting restaurant and you won't be "wowed" but, again, the food is very tasty and the time our 1 yr old had with the characters was just great
:thumbsup2

Character interaction was great at this restaurant. You cannot really see the next table because of the restaurant layout. It felt like the characters spent a little more time at your table compared to other character meals. The rotation of the restaurant was a nice touch...something different. The salad was was good but the main course was just okay for us.

I forgot to mention...That both times we have been that the characters actually came around twice...Some other meals we have been done with meal before we saw all the characters once....They spend time at the tables and they do not feel rushed like they do at some others...

BTW: My kids loved the make-your-own cupcake the first time we went and the dirt and worms dessert last time we went...I loved the blueberry dessert....Really yummy!!!!

Loved it because:

1. character interaction was great

2. served family style--not as hectic, not having to get up for the buffett

3. relatively quiet atmosphere

4. kids loved the make your own cupcake dessert

5. different food options from most basic character fare--catfish, fresh veggies, etc. nice change from mac and cheese and pizza.
