Garden Grill Catfish

I keep seeing comments about the Garden Grill Catfish such as "We didn't try it" or "We didn't want it". Is the catfish bad or do ya'll just not like catfish? We eat catfish quite often and it's one of my son's favorites. In fact the catfish on the menu is one of the reasons I made ADR's for our trip in May. Well, the catfish and a chance to see Chip and Dale.

So is the catfish any good? And can adults (my 10 year old son) request french fries with their meal?

I thought it was pretty darn good. I think catfish carries a bit of a stigma with some folks, but I love it. Of course, it was a local delicacy where I grew up, so I am a bit picky about it, it has to be cooked just right, and I thought the Garden grill did a good job on it.

We ate there in Jan. 2006. All of us (DH, DS, and myself) loved the catfish! Of course we eat is often. We have several ponds/lakes and have raised catfish for years (just for family/friends).

I'm from the south and have eaten quite a bit of catfish, and I thought it was great!

The catfish at GG is very good. My DW who normally avoids all fish really loved the catfish. People often think of catfish as being a dirty type of fish, but that same group will go eat fish like tilapia which is a bottom feeding fish also. The catfish served at GG is farm raised in the Land Pavilion so it is very clean and very fresh.

We all loved the catfish - even dd who really doesn't like fish. I like my blackened & spicy and the waitress brought me some with some extra spice on it We requested more catfish than the other entrees.

We had the catfish there last week and it was so good! I don't get why people are so afraid of catfish. The potatoes were a meal in itself, very, very good!

The catfish at Garden Grill is one of my favorite foods at Disney. Your DS will have no problem getting french fries or any of the other kids foods. My DS is 16 and got an entire kids meal and both of my kids got the kids dessert.

I don't eat catfish on a regular basis (hardly ever) BUT I do love it at the Garden Grill.... very fresh and tasty!

I have been to the Garden Grill twice and I will go back almost solely for the catfish and cheese potatoes. The great thing about the catfish is that they keep it relatively thick before cooking so it maintains its juices. A lot of the catfish places I have visited will flatten the fish making it much thinner and wafer like. Because of this, it almost seems like your getting very little catfish with all of the batter. However, the Garden Grill does not do this but keeps the fish quite whole. I did not think for once that it was being overpowered by the batter.
