Opinions on breakfast at Garden Grill? Could you please tell me which characters you have seen here? Thanks for any help! :thanks:

GG breakfast is one of our absolute favorites. The food is served family style and is really good. Characters typically are Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale and the interaction is really great!

We tried for the first time last year and were very happy with it. The food was good and the character interaction was great since it wasn't that busy when we got there. We had an 8:05 reservation. Not only that, but we were done by 8:50 and went straight downstairs to ride Soarin' twice before the crowds showed up.

The characters are Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Farmer Mickey.

I love the food here! You get a 'family skillet' that contains scrambled eggs, potato barrels (tater tots), bacon, and I think sausage as well as mickey waffles with nutella sauce!

They also bring out a HUGE cinnamon roll and a bowl of fruit.

They have the POG juice here that everyone including me loves which made it worth the trip in and of itself!

Yesss!!! Thank you everyone! I just nabbed a breakfast ADR. Now I am so excited! I really appreciate your responses.

We went with a large party and left unimpressed. The food was good to ok, but nothing to go back for, but I think this just about every character restaurant.

What has made Garden Grill the bottom of our character dining list was the character interaction, which was greatly impacted by the seating. I travel with extended family, so we are almost always a large party of eight or more. So at GG, we were seated at a long booth, and that made it very difficult for our party to take pictures with the characters and interact with them. Everyone had to scoot out of the booth to take their turn, and pictures were awkward on top of that because the aisles outside of the booths are narrow and servers were rushing by with loaded trays...or large groups of people were being escorted to their long booths. It just wasn't fun. After a while, we stopped taking pics. The characters were really lackluster on top of that and gave up on us when we stopped trying to file out of the booth to take pics.

I've found that at every other character experience, having a table/space where characters can walk around to interact with the larger party (without the party having to exit the booth) works best. We've had stellar character experiences at 'Ohana, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Cinderella's Table. We were so excited about GG and left very disappointed.

However, many many many people LOVE GG. And my main caveat about it is trying to avoid those horrific long booths if you're with a larger group. If you're there with a smaller party (the small booths looked great and tables did as well), you'll likely have a blast.

You're going to love it! It was easily our favourite meal on our last trip so of course we have it booked again for next month!!

A must do for me! I don't even care for family style meals or character meals, but this place is totally worth every penny! It's very delicious. They serve eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, a cinnamon roll skillet, POG juice. They feature Chip n' Dale, Mickey, and Pluto. Excellent character interaction and I even saw Chip n' Dale twice!

We tried breakfast here for the first time in October and really enjoyed it. The food was good. The cinnamon roll they bring out at the beginning is delicious!!! The characters are great. Since the restaurant is fairly small, the characters came around twice while we were eating. We did pictures/autographs the first time and then just gave them a wave the second time.

Garden Grill is our favourite character meal and breakfast there is our favourite meal. The character interaction is amazing and most times we see each character multiple times. If you can get one of the very first ADRs and get seated before many tables are full, it's even better. We had one experience with multiple characters at our table at once because the restaurants was still mostly empty, so a nice added bonus.

I also really love that it's family style and not buffet. I find buffets a bit stressful, trying to get your food, kids food and all while trying to keep an eye to make sure you don't miss a character at your table. Family style I get to sit and relax and enjoy a meal without the hassle.

Bummer but thank you for being honest! We are a party of just four so fingers crossed!

This is so GREAT to hear! I'm really excited about this now.

Excellent! Thank you so much!

It's my favourite Disney Breakfast. The food is great and so is the experience!

Yessss! I have no idea why I didn't consider it before. I can't wait!

I am loving all of these amazing reviews! Thank you so much!

Yes! Totally agree here! I love a buffet for eating but when characters are involved, I feel really stressed out. I understand your feelings!

I'm sure you will enjoy it. It's good, simple breakfast food and it's all you care to eat! Chip and Dale are always a blast and here they came by more than once (even when it was just my husband and I). The way the restaurant is set up makes each booth feel more private in my opinion. I do see the point of the previous poster about large groups and getting out of the booth. But with 4 you should be just fine. Enjoy!
