Garden Grill Breakfast..."Sucks"?!

On the day that I’m going, Epcot has EMH from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. so I booked an ADR for 9:35 a.m. :earsgirl: I figured that I would be able to ride Soarin’ and hopefully Living with the Land without FastPasses before my breakfast time if I get there at rope drop.

Well, as someone who is part of a family of gourmet food lovers(including me) we were pleasantly surprised when we went for breakfast. It was very good. We went because my sister always wanted to go every time she would look up while riding Living with the Land.

Don't get me wrong, nothing there is particularly unique, but for an american style breakfast, it was great.

Plus, the characters were great when we went.

Now personally, the character meal you can do at Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk is my fav currently.

I was at GG for breakfast last November. IT WAS SO GOOD! I loved the food a lot. So fresh, so delicious. Whatever you want more of, they'll bring it for you. I love that you dont have to rush to the buffet between characters. Its a relaxing breakfast. This has actually become one of my fave breakfasts. :cloud9:

The characters are super cute. They'll interact with you as much as you want them to. If you just sit there and wave without saying a word, they'll make it short and sweet and move on. They're very interactive and really take their time with you as long as you let them. Your coworker must've done been very engaging. That's the only reason i can figure as to why he complain about it being too quick.

I was on the fence about Garden Grill but after reading this thread - I am sold - I make my ADR's on Monday and am hoping for a PPO!!

Yes, there are some booths that have a table separated into two separate yet close sections. Those are the ones that people share at. Didn't like it and wouldn't accept it again. Garden Grill is too expensive for paying customers to be forced to share a booth with strangers.
Was it kinda like this? If so, i agree with you. That's just weird sharing with another family.

We were there yesterday for breakfast. It was wonderful from start to finish. The characters came around twice and they were hilarious. Chip even gave my teenager a (pretend) wet willie. The restaurant rotated and the food was excellent. You should totally go. You will love it.
:lmao: omg thats the funniest thing ever. A pretend wet willie! :rotfl: I agree about character interaction, theyre awesome! When i was there i too have seen them twice. Chip & Dale are so fun. :)

We just had breakfast there on our Christmas trip and it was definitely a favorite. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, and the character interaction was really good, they even came back to make sure we had all the pictures we wanted. There was no problem with the restaurant rotating when we were there and we enjoyed not seeing the same scene throughout our meal. We were seated within minutes of checking in and never felt rushed. I think you will really enjoy this character meal.

:crowded: Nonetheless, that's pretty awkward and crowded.

I'm a solo diner and I almost always get seated in a booth like that. I don't find it awkward at all. It really didn't seem any closer than tables at other table service restaurants or at quick service for that matter. And not nearly as close as sharing a car with a family at Sci-Fi, which always happens to me. The last time I was at GG I was seated on the second tier at a table all by myself. It was lonely up there. :) It's really all a matter of perspective. Some hate it and some aren't bothered.

GG Breakfast is a must do for us every trip. Food is always great and the character interaction is fantastic!
