Garden grill and their new menu?

I just looked back at our pictures from January and we had greens beans instead of corn.

I looked at the menu on the WDW website and it lists french fries now instead of sweet potato fries.:sad::sad:

Who thought serving mashed potatoes and french fries was a good idea?! :sad2:

We have not been in several years, but it was always a unanimous choice for the whole family. One of our favorites. We stopped going because as the kids got older we couldn't fit in the booths. I would check at the seating arrangements. That might make the decision for you.

wow. it's the garden grill. where did the garden go?

I remember years ago how amazing it was for dinner here. Lots of veggies and great fish (we had at least 4 servings of fish).

Last time we went in 2013 our meal was disappointing (except for the GF meal, which was great). So, we're doing breakfast instead.

they lost me a few iterations ago at mac and cheese WITH goldfish crackers AND mashed potatoes AND sweet potato fries. This is another step down but it was already a step too far before IMO. The menu held zero appeal to me. We did very much enjoy the breakfast though. Not that it is healthy either! But not so carb heavy. I know fish does not universally appeal but being that it is in the land I thought the Mahi with roasted tomato pepper compote served over veggies was super appropriate. Review from 2012 :(

Yeah I was hoping for a more Living With the Land "sustainable food" situation at Garden Grill , but... it all was pretty unhealthy comfort food.
DELICIOUS but I didn't feel like I was "contributing towards Progress and That Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" that being at EPCOT is supposed to bring...

I have no idea if that last sentence even made any sense at all... time for more coffee! ;)

How is the pot roast? We went strictly for the steak. Is it decent?

We went in May and my then-18 month old ate his weight in pot roast, so it must be pretty good. Lol.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal overall.

Garden grill was always one of our favorite meal. Does anyone have a picture of the new food? Also is the salad still the same? That was my favorite part of the meal. Thanks!

We ate at GG about 10 days ago. The pot roast was fatty, at least the portion we received. The turkey and stuffing was the same as we remembered. I would have liked the fish. The Italian sausage was just OK.

The salad was very crisp and good, and I'm not a salad fan.

I thought the character interaction was not as good as it has been in the past, but this may be because my kids are much older now (18 and 16).
