I have been getting ready for a BIG garage sale tomorrow. Gotta get rid of LOTS of stuff before the move to the log home.

Why do we even bother to call them "garage sales"? Why not call them what they REALLY are...GARBAGE sales?::yes:: :rotfl:

b/c I don't think a lot of people get too interested in buying garbage :) even though it might be to you.... the old addage goes "one person's trash is anothers' treasure"

I had one last year, and I am always amazed at what folks buy! SOme of the things I think will go right away, end up being around a long time or never selling. I hope I can get everything done before tomorrow! We have rain predicted, so that could effect how successful the sale is.

BEst of luck.... wish I could come! I love other people's "trash"!.....P

good luck and hopefully the weather holds out
nothing like cash for trash

I am a complete failure at garage sales. :( I made exactly $3.50 at the last one I had.

I just take it all to charity now!

I'm looking to make enough for a power washer to use at the new kennel. I had one last year and made around $500, but I don't have any big ticket items this time. It's just a lot of stuff I cleaned out while I was packing for the move. I was amazed I came up with another whole garage full after last year! I jsut hope the folks who come up from south of the border for summer work are here already! They bought EVERYTHING last year! I would sure help if I could speak Spanish!

Bernie, the key is to ORGANIZE well. DH laughed when he came out with something for the garage sale and I told him to put in the "men's department"!:teeth:

Don't laugh, JL! It works to departmentalize! I had the migrants coming last year, and they wouldn't have been able to find anything they wanted if I hadn't done that. There was a definit language barrier!:o Good thing we could all point and smile a lot. I could never understand when they were asking about a specific item!:p

I have never held a garage sale in my life. I can't GET organized enough to even consider it.

Goodwill likes me. :D

What do you need to say in Spanish?

What types of questions do you need to know?
