Garage Sale timing

I've heard in the past that garage sales are most successful when people have just gotten their checks, which makes sense. Planning to have one in the next couple of weeks, but I wasn't sure whether to go with May 30, or wait until June 6. Will a lot of people get paid the Friday before the end of the month, or do most people get a check on the first?

DH & I get paid the 15th & last day of the month so we would get our check Friday, May 29.

Just my thoughts, but most mortgages and rent are do on the 1st of the month. So I would do my yardsale after the 1st of the month (so Sat 6/6).

I get paid biweekly and so does DH but we get paid opposite weeks so it doesn't really affect us.
