Garage sale things that annoy me....

I hate that I make the effort to get the kids in the car and to a sale at opening to get a specific item listed, only to find a big sold sign on it. If the sale opens at 8:00, then nothing should be sold before then. I would be too embarrassed to show up at a sale early.

I hate people that haggle for everything.

I hate people to haggle for everything and pretend they don't speak english.

Ok, I know how people feel about customers asking to use your bathroom and I feel the same why when I have a sale.
However, maybe I have an exception. When I was about 4mo. pregnant and just starting to show. My Aunt and I love to sale together and we took a lunch break for pizza and I drank red juice. Well, we hit a few more sales and the heat got to me... I needed a bathroom quick! Next sale, I ran up to this woman and asked to use her bathroom please, and I must have looked a little green, because she said sure and pointed to way in. All I could see was white carpet everywhere, including the bathroom:  and I prayed I would make it! I had visions of vomiting juice & pizza everywhere in this nice ladies home! I started wondering if maybe the yard would have been a better idea. Luckily I made it. But my Aunt still stopped at 3 more sales on the way home while I laying in the back of her van! :rotfl:

This isn't a garage sale pet peeve, but a garage sale question. I have a bunch of porcelain dolls that I want to sell. I have no clue what to charge for them. They're all about 15 years old or so, in pretty good condition...nothing too fancy, though, except one that's a baby doll with a HUGE elaborate dress. All have stands...well, except the baby that actually never came out of the box. I was thinking somewherein the $30 range??? Is that too high? Do you think they'll even sell?

I'd Craigslist 'em first.

I would put them on Craigslist. You would have to hope that the right person comes to a garage sale wanting that particular item.
