'Gangs' of Disneyland

I own a Disney themed tumblr page and have had requests from many of these social groups to 'promote' their page which I happily did once I found out what they're about. They're just a group of like minded people who enjoy going to the parks together and want to share their love of Disney. I actually got talking to a few members of the Main Street Elite group in line at DCA in August and they were great fun!

We've never noticed/seen this before(and we do a lot of people watching) but it wouldn't bother us if we did---looks kind of fun!

I've heard of "Christian bike clubs". Even came across one, where I was asked to take a group photo and one of the members even offered to take a photo of my wife and me. However, they were all riding Harleys with loud aftermarket exhausts.

I have actually heard of one of these "Christian biker clubs" where the founder and several members were accused of attempted murder.

The arrests, which followed a double stabbing in a brawl with the Hells Angels at a Newport Beach bar July 27, was the latest brush with the law for the group of black-leather-clad bikers, which has straddled the line between Christian outreach group and outlaw motorcycle gang.

ANAHEIM – The head of the Set Free Soldiers Christian motorcycle club has resolved a nearly two-year criminal case by pleading guilty to a misdemeanor for his role in a bloody barroom brawl involving members of the Hells Angels.

Phillip Aguilar, 62, of Anaheim pleaded guilty last week to possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and was sentenced to three years of probation by Judge Margaret Anderson at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.

In exchange for Aguilar's guilty plea Thursday, prosecutors dismissed three felony charges against him: possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of brass knuckles, and street terrorism, said Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.

Now granted I drive around here and see full-patch Hells Angels on the street. Once I even went to a baseball game where a full-patch Hells Angels member was there wearing his vest. I was actually surprised that they let him in with it uncovered.

I think it sounds fun! It doesn't sound like anyone is using this to intimidate others, which would be upsetting. It sort of goes along with the sense that at DLR, adults get to be kids again.

I didn't feel like they were intimidating anyone on purpose; I suppose some folks might be unnerved by their looks, but they aren't trying to be intimidating. I was thinking that it's not really much different than the folks that wear matching t-shirts/sweatshirts that you see commonly throughout the park. Still, it's interesting because I hadn't noticed them last Halloween or Christmas, so maybe their a relatively new phenomenon.
