Games in Diversions?

I thought I read somewhere that they have board games in Diversions.. is this true? If so, what games do they have?


Also, I read that Cove Cafe has books and magazines... I thought it was more of an internet/coffee type of place. Are there books and magazines to read while you are there? If so, what is the selection like?

I remember wwwwaaaayyyyy back on our first cruise in 2000 on the Magic they would set out all kinds of board games in the Promenade Lounge. They just had them sitting on the tables there and you could find one you liked and play.

I was impressed by that. I guess it's the little things that sometimes make a big difference!

At any rate, I'm sure they would have games somewhere onboard! At least I would hope they would!

They had chess, backgammon and checkers, as I recall. Diversions is very nicely done.

The Cove Cafe has magazines as well as internet stations. I didn't spend too much time there, so I can't speak as to the magazine selection. But again, it's very nicely done. All the improvements made during dry dock are awesome.

DS and DH loved playing that at the ESPN sky box, it was a basketball arcade game, did they move it to diversions or to the arcade?

You're correct. I also talked to the cruise director and she said they are adding more board games to play. It would be real nice if they kept the place open all the time just as a hangout. It was closed a few times on the cruise but did seem to be open more then sessions or rocking bar d.
