GameCube - yes or no?

I like the gamecube because of the Mario series as well as Zelda.

Same here, love both those series.

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but you can purchase an attachment for game cube that enables you to play GBA games on the TV screen using GC controls.

I have to remember to get that!

Does the attachment make the GBA game on the TV screen???

I was under the impression it does not work for all GBA games? Please enlighten me.

If this is true this could open up a whole new world at my house!

Yep, right up there on the big screen in living color :-) The attachment was just released this past summer. I had read it was coming, and had been waiting for it for months. It was better than I had hoped. The big screen is so much easier on the eyes, and the GC controls are easier for me to use.

As far as I know all GBA games can be played this way, but I am no expert. Let's just say that I personally have not encountered a game I cannot slip into the GC attachment.

personally, i like gamecube better than xbox. However, it helps if you have the right games. ON xbox, Halo and Amped and games like that are awesome where as others....well ya know...

on gamecube, there are a lot of good games such as: turok:evolution, agent under fire, animal crossing, nightfire, nhl hitz, starfox adventures.....depends on the age group, of course

the gamecube jsut seems like less of a hassle than the xbox...especially if you get the wavebird controllers....

We're a Gamecube family. For years, I didn't want any game systems, so my DH had to really sell me on it when the boys got to the age they could play. We went with Nintendo systems (our GC is our third, not counting Gameboys) because there's more storyline (Mario, Zelda, etc.) and less adult theming.

I never played any of the games until we got Animal Crossing last year. I love that game!! Very fun, even if you're not into video games.

Gamecube is for younger kids. We have always been a nintendo family, so my brother bought gamecube himself. Put it on reserve and everything.

I tried to convince hiim to buy a PS2 (okay okay, so maybe I wanted the playstation, lol). He refused. Six months later he bought the PS2, and that's the one he plays the most.

Play station 2 has a MUCH larger variety and amount of games. If the kids are young, you should probably go for the gamecube.

My brother has gameboy advance and just bought the super mario bundle pack. It has Super Mario Bros 3, and we can't put it down! My mother thinks it is so funny that the 18 year old, 15 year old, and 12 year old fight over playing a gameboy. The thing is, I was raised on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, and Super Mario Bros. 3 was the game we all struggled to beat for years. It was a blast from my childhood.

Has anyone played Super Mario 3 on the Gamecube? (GBA to big screen?) Hmmmm...I wonder if they made any improvements?

We play it on the reg. Nintendo & it is dang hard compared to the games of today!

Seeing so many happy about GameCube makes me glad I went ahead and got it. :) So far we have one game (in addition to the Zelda that came with the WalMart GameCube) - Animal Crossing. I've been reading up on other games to get. My kids are going to be so surprised to be getting this for Christmas.

Check out these games...

Zelda: Wind Waker...Awesome game with great graphics...

Mariokart: Double Dash..up to 8 people can play..:earseek: lots of fun..

Animal Crossing(which you already have) will have you on the cube for numerous hours..(I know, I have it..:o )

Mario Party 4 & 5 are fun too...
:D

Tiger Woods 2003 is neat..but now there's a 2004

Game Cube's games are priced higher than PS2...
But like was said in another post...the Mario games are great...:D

Don't forget about picking up a memory card also..

::yes::
